Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Bed EVER! I LOVE This bed! I would purchase this 100 time over! It is SOLID very well made, stunningly high quality. I was torn at the time making a decision between this bed and another and I am so HAPPY with this bed!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love, love, love this bed! I purchased this bed last year when there was a "no exclusions sale" and have zero regrets (outside of not purchasing sooner). The quality of the bed is top notch and mine looks exactly like the picture. I was a bit hesitant in regards to ordering since some of the reviews were questionable on the coloring. I knew I didn't want a brown or black bed; was looking more for that authentic wrought iron look and that’s exactly what I got. Mine looks identical to the photos online. Another plus about ordering the full bed (head and footboards) is that your feet do NOT run into the footboard. I’m 6 feet tall and have never run into the footboard stretching in the morning. The white-glove delivery service is definitely a must because the bed is solid/heavy. Set up was minimal; that said, I’m glad my Dad was there to help the delivery guys assemble…not sure they were accustomed to setting up beds. I’ve had the bed now for almost a year and love it more every day. The style isn’t too ornate and it’s just rustic enough that it will compliment various looks (retro, classic, rustic, zen) to switch up your look. This is a classic bed that I’ll have for years to come. Highly, highly recommend this bed; don’t think twice!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful Bed Frame I am very happy with my purchase of the Wheatland Iron Bed frame. It came in two boxes. One contained both Head and Foot Boards and the other contained the frame. Delivery was to just inside the front door. Assembly was quick and required only a few standard tools. Once assembled, the bed frame is very sturdy. The finish is beautiful and the design is simple but classic.

On your site, the color swatch for "distressed brown" looks very dark, more black than brown. Is this accurate? Is there a photo of a bed this color?

Asked by: mwphila
The Distressed Brown is a dark brown, similar to a chocolate brown, but not more black than brown. We do not have additional photos available at this time.

What color furniture (chests, nightstands, etc) would you recommend with the bed?

Wondering if it would be dark (espresso) wood, gray toned (light or dark) or something else?
Asked by: MelissaCasey
Espresso, white or antique white shades would likely work best with the color of this bed.

How deep is the bed, would it support a thick mattress and deep box springs? And does it have a metallic odor?

Asked by: PDear
The distance from the bottom of the side rail to the bottom of the headboard will be about 21". We recommend a standard thickness box spring, which is 9", and the thickness of the mattress used would be based on how much of the headboard and footboard you want to be visible. The one in the online photo looks to be about 12". There shouldn't be a noticeable metallic order.

I live in Boston area. Is the headboard 'cold' in the winter? Is it comfortable to sit up against?

Asked by: JG77
The headboard would feel cooler in winter or warmer months due to the natural characteristics of iron. While it is a hard headboard, it is flat, so while we do think using a pillow behind your back would be ideal, we do not think the headboard would be uncomfortable to lean against.
