JOB TITLE: Photo Studio Coordinator

Garnet Hill, a growing high-end multi-channel marketer specializing in original designs in clothing and home décor is seeking a Director of Product Quality to join our team.

JOB SUMMARY: Assists with all areas of photography production in the Photo Studio


Photo Shoot Production
  • Reserve and confirm accommodations for crews and visiting freelancers
  • Schedule catering in accordance with budget and any dietary restrictions
  • Build and distribute layout books, shot lists, and call sheets; cross reference documents for accuracy and follow up with questions as needed
  • Assist in obtaining required documentation (signed photo-shoot confirmations, certificates of insurance, agreements, etc.) from production companies, freelancers, etc,
  • Assist Studio Manager with holding and confirming crews for photo shoots
  • Assist Studio Manager with daily postings and/or distribution of completed spreads
  • Assist on set as needed
Merchandise and Sample Coordination
  • Work with Sample Room and Facilities to coordinate timely delivery and removal of samples
  • Oversee photo-sample traffic to and from photo studio; delegate to Merchandise Coordinator as needed
  • Work with the Sample Room to coordinate sample sharing between location and studio photo shoots Studio Preparation
  • Plan and monitor prep days for Photo Studio
  • Ensure prepping area(s) and photo shoot area(s) are optimally utilized, and in accordance with safety and security procedures
Image Management
  • Process and back up daily images
  • Distribute files to the Digital Asset Specialist
  • Organize and maintain backup libraries
Inventory and Supplies
  • Assist Studio Manager in managing props and set supplies, including sourcing local props, filling prop lists and managing prop room inventory
  • Manage kitchen and cleaning inventory and supplies
  • Other responsibilities as directed and necessary for the business
  • High School diploma or equivalent work experience
  • Photo production knowledge and experience
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Working Knowledge of InDesign a plus
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
  • Intermediate skills in Mac programs
  • Intermediate skills in Adobe programs (Photoshop and Bridge)
