‘Tis the season to effortlessly finish your gift shopping and get presents wrapped and under the tree so you can sit back, sip eggnog, and watch the snow gently fall. The right finishing touches can enhance the gifts, so we asked Bess from our Merchandising Team to share her wrapping tips.
We hope Bess’s recommendations, which use natural and sustainable elements, will inspire you and help set the mood for a joyous season.
Fabric is one of my favorite things to wrap presents in. It’s sustainable and can be considered as part of the gift. These presents were wrapped in our beautiful block-print napkins. I also love using kraft paper as wrapping paper. It serves as a simple, natural backdrop and pairs beautifully with seasonal greenery.
Invest in beautiful ribbon. This wrapping element can be used again, season after season. Ribbon and other decorative ties are special details that add extra polish, pattern, and color to holiday packages — and they help hold the wrappings in place.
Finish gift packages with sprigs of natural greenery. To save time, use floral wire to wrap little greenery bunches in advance so that they can be easily bound together and tied to gifts. Bobbles and berries are also nice touches that make presents pop.
