Shopping, a movie, a corner booth at your favorite café… all great fun for Mother’s Day, but maybe not this year.

When I think cozy, I think of warm linen bedding, slippers, my soft robe, hot coffee, and all of the snuggles I can get. I am already dreaming of waking up to my favorite music, the sounds of the coffee grinder, the giggles and pitter patter of little feet, and the sounds of dishes clinking and clanking as my daughters and husband work on preparing a special surprise breakfast in bed for me.

This year, I’m thankful to be happily at home for Mother’s Day. Surrounded by a family that loves me and some fresh new bath accessories from Garnet Hill. I’ve had my eye on these luxurious organic-cotton towels for so long. It makes my mama heart so happy to see a fresh basket full of these products — how cozy! And since we will be at home this year, I’m thinking it’s totally appropriate to wrap up in my new organic-cotton robe all day, right?

Mother’s Day is a wonderful day to relax, put up your feet, and linger a little bit longer in your favorite pair of pajamas. Maybe enjoy morning coffee or tea outdoors on the patio or deck, taking in the solitude and all the colors of nature. If there’s a bit of a chill, wrap up in a soft, cozy throw or toss on some cashmere over your sleepwear. It’s your day, and a great time to be a Mom. Cherish every second of it.
