April 2020

We’re celebrating 50 years of Earth Day.

The earth is integral to our heritage at Garnet Hill, and we’re committed to helping preserve it for future generations. If environmental stewardship is your passion as well, let’s pursue it together.

We work with the finest natural fibers – a hallmark since our founding in a New Hampshire sugar house more than four decades ago. We were America’s first catalog born of reverence for such gifts of nature as cotton and merino wool, and have been crafting apparel and home goods from nature’s finest ever since. When this is your aspiration, every day is Earth Day.

Organic Cotton sheets arrived on our shelves early on. We embraced the absence of pesticides and defoliants, the preservation of farmland and waterways. Today, a majority of the cotton we use in apparel and bedding is organic.

Our exploration of sustainable fabrics continues, a recent customer favorite being TENCEL™ Lyocell. A revelation of elegant drape and soft hand, it’s the product of renewable tree farms. Designs we offer as certified to STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® pass exhaustive tests proving them entirely free of harmful substances, including toxins and irritants. Our exquisite linen bedding and clothing are crafted from fast-growing, earth-friendly European flax.

If you’re new to Garnet Hill, welcome to the intersection of design, quality and sustainability. We help women live a life in which they are always growing, always connecting, always Beautiful, Naturally. And we invite you to join us on this journey.

Happy Earth Day…today and every day!
