What is TENCEL?

TENCELTM (a trademark of Lenzing) is an eco-friendly fiber made from the wood pulp of trees. The trees are harvested from responsibly managed, renewable woodlands, and are grown without the use harmful substances. The “closed-loop” production process requires less water and less energy than production of other fibers, with minimal impact on the environment.

There are many reasons to love TENCELTM as a fiber — and the fabric created with it.

Tencel is a NEW fabric, that I’ve just become familiar with, but would love to know where I might purchase the fabric, so that I can make something of my own…or perchance buy something if I’m aware of who sells it. Thanks

Good question, Cheryl. We’re not quite sure on the answer to that but good luck in your search!
