Smartwool® Merino Leggings is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 55.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice leggings Fit well; warm and comfortable. Nice print too. Tend to bag a bit in the knees.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Warm and Cozy I wore these under a long skirt on a cold NYC night recently and they kept my legs so warm! They are so comfortable too (no awful tightness at the waist) and I felt like my legs were being hugged. I love Smartwool in general, and these are wonderful. I hope they don't bag out with wear. The only reason I give them 4 instead of 5 stars is that they are a bit pricey. Otherwise, I would love to purchase the other color.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Cozy & Comfortable These leggings are warm and comfortable. I wear them as gym pants on cold days. The fit is a little bit saggy. Not enough to bother me but I'm certain they'd be too bulky under other clothing.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice and soft! I've worn these once and I have to agree with another reviewer in that they don't fit quite right and I felt like continually pulling them away from my behind. They don't come up high enough in the back, but other than that they keep you nice and warm. Soft and they're not itchy because they're merino wool.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Does the job Suzing is ample almost too much so. Good quality but would like a snugger fit

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Casual with seam Nice material and comfortable fit. These are fine on their own under a longer top for weekends. I would not be able to wear to work. The seams give a slight long johns vibe.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great quality, but size up maybe I have older pairs of these, wanted more, and so I ordered my usual small. OOOFA. Waistband was WAY too tight, SO much tighter than all my other pairs. Like, I'm in pain. Sending them back.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Keep you warm! I bought these for walking my dog in the winter months. They run small so go up one size. I'm 5'7 and 120lbs and ordered a medium. They fit perfectly.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice legging Goes well with GH's oversized turtleneck sweater. Loses star because runs small. Consider one size up from normal GH size

Rated 3 out of 5 by from disappointment I wore these for the first time yesterday. I live in Montana and am pretty much cold from November-March/April. My house is old and poorly insulated so I'm always on the hunt for clothes that will help me stay warm. It turns out that these are no warmer than my inexpensive fleece lined leggings. I regret keeping them.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from nice merino / lower rise At first I thought I put these leggings on backwards as they were so low and barely covered my "derriere". It's too bad the fit wasn't right for me because the merino is a thicker wool and would be warm as a first layer.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from SmartWool Leggings Wonderful SmartWool Quality. Ordered size L (12/14). However, the very wide, nearly three inch stiff waistband does not stretch and feels very very tight, more like a size 8. I wear size 10/12 pants. I might try cutting off the waist and replacing it with a casing type, narrow waistband, only because I like the quality of SmartWool. But at the moment it seems like a lot of work for a $95 pair of leggings.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice Warm Leggings Too bad they did not fit as expected. I had to return them. Hope the next size works for me.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Warm and soft I would love these were it not for smart wool logo on the lower leg- three colors

Rated 2 out of 5 by from comfortable but puckery These leggings feel good on the skin and are comfortable. I don't know if I needed a smaller size so that they would be tighter and stretch smoothly or if my pair was poorly made. All of the long seams were very puckery all up and down my legs and I couldn't adjust them in a way that would smooth them out. It was not a good look. I'm 5'6", 127 and got a medium. Returning.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not leggings, not outerwear— long underwear. Like most everything SmartWool makes, these are well made. But they aren’t leggings; they don’t fit like leggings nor do they look like leggings. Even the SmartWool tag describes them as a ‘base layer’, i.e. underwear. I’ll keep them and I’ll wear them but they aren’t what I wanted. Shame on Garnet Hill for misrepresenting this product.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Itchy I was looking forward to having a warmer pair of leggings this winter, but these were just unbearably itchy. Plus they were really, really long. I returned them

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Poor fit These really did not work for me. Fabric/quality as expected but the styling/fit really awkward. Sent them back.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Too Short I had to return these. I'm 5" 8' and they were too short.

regarding merino leggings - do they come up all the way to the waist? I have a small waist size 6, larger bottom 8-10, and I am 5ft tall, weigh 122lbs

Asked by: Frannie Do
Yes, the elastic waist does sit at your waistline, you should order your normal pant size but know they will be long as inseam is 30".
