PrimaLoft® Comforter is rated 3.8 out of 5 by 22.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cozy comfort Love the light weight and clean finish of these comforters. On my guest beds, they look fresh and neat and will not cause issues for grandchildren with feather allergies. Super alternative to down.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fits Well Our new comforter fits the queen sized bed well and provides warmth for our chilly and foggy Bay Area location. There are elastics that can hold the duvet cover from slipping out of the corners. I did buy the comforter on sale.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect weight I had purchased both the Signiture Down Alternative Winter Weight and the Prima Loft Comforters and prefer the Prima Loft. It is warm without being too bulky and fills my Eileen Fisher duvet cover nicely without looking like a a marshmallow on the bed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Surprisingly great! I didn't know what to expect when I bought this comforter as I usually buy down, but this comforter is really great. The fibers are evenly distributed and there are no cold spots! I don't even need an extra blanket on the bed. It was really flat and compressed when it came out of the box, but after a week a so of use it got super fluffy and soft and now it's perfect. I prefer it to down because it seems to stay loftier and doesn't need to be re-fluffed as frequently.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not machine washable. I washed mine according to instructions and it is nothing like its former self. All the material is bunched up in each individual square. It looks bad. Not fluffy and doesn't feel as good anymore. I loved it prior to washing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfection in a Comforter! I have purchased 3 Primaloft Comforter's from Garnet Hill. I use them year around as our home is kept cool in the summer. They provide perfect warmth through the fall and winter months here in the South as well as the Pacific Northwest. Totally well-made, soft, cozy & easily machine washed. Perfect year around for a terrific night of rest!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great dorm comforter I purchased both this comforter and the GH Signature down comforter for my daughter to choose one to take with her to college. This outer fabric on both is a very nice high quality cotton. The primaloft won out as it was fluffier than the down (thus making her bed more comfy looking) and I feel it would be easier for a college student to wash than having to deal with the down.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great blanket! I purchased this comforter for my 5 year old son and have been extremely happy with the purchase. It is a very warm blanket (i have used the blanket sometimes when we play musical beds!) It is also pretty easy to wash and dry compared to real down. I am very happy with this purchase and am strongly considering purchasing the queen size for a guest room.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good until you wash it As a few others have said in their reviews, the comforter was beautiful until I washed it--gently in a large commercial size washer on gentle--now the filling is very unevenly distributed and looks like a lumpy mess. Oh well.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Disappointed I bought this comforter after researching how down is collected and wanted a cruelty free alternative. I was happy to see Garnet Hill had one. I could tell the quality was good and I especially liked the tabs to tie the duvet cover to. Sadly, it is not warm enough for me even for the LA winter. My room is around 60 degrees at night and I needed a thick blanket also. The actual duvet itself was cold to the touch and didn't seem to circulate the warmth. It was a little noisy too. Sadly, had to return it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Heavier than needed I returned this duvet. I did not like the heavy sateen fabric. It added to much weight and felt heavy on my legs vs the feather-light feeling of a down comforter. Definitely not the light weight down-like feel that is advertised. It is All-season weight so that could explain it. Opting for lighter weight option.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Had to return it We love our Primaloft pillows and so were ready to love our comforter. However, the comforter wouldn't stay on our queen size bed--it slipped off at the foot of the bed or the sides. I would suggest not making a square bedding product in the future. Its in the UPS to return to you.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from No better than a cheaper comforter After being disappointed with the weight and fluff of cheaper comforters, I splurged for this one. After just a few months, it is very flat and not much heavier or fluffier than a sheet. I'm extremely disappointed and would not consider this worth the money. I would ask Garnet Hill to refund my money or offer me an alternative replacement.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from BEWARE the words "Garnet Hill are ? woven, printed, something all over the cover fabric so your bed will be an advertising billboard u less comforter is in some osrt of cover. VERY DISAPPOINTING

Rated 1 out of 5 by from DO NOT WASH! As another reviewer stated, after the first wash the comforter is completely useless. I never bought such an expensive comforter before and in the beginning it was very nice and comfy. I was glad i spent the money...But after the very first wash it was ruined... :(

Rated 1 out of 5 by from buy a king for a queen/ run very small this comforter is plush and wonderful, it is just not big enough for a king size bed, it sits right on top of your bed, I thought I had made a mistake and ordered a queen, but no it was a king, I have bought 2, they are both the same way, I was so disapointed, I love garnet hill and will keep ordering from them, but for the price this comforter is not worth it. So sad

is this lightweight, medium, or heavy in terms of warmth?

Asked by: Colleen Kiley
This comforter is lightweight but warm. Most would consider this more medium in terms of warmth - but everyone is different. You may also like our down comforter - available in light, medium and Winter weights.

What chemicals are added to the comforter materials in manufacturing? PFC's for durability? Formaldehyde?

I could smell the polyester off gassing the first time I slept under it, what other chemicals are used (besides polyester)?
Asked by: tabitha1
Part of the processing includes washing, bleaching and rinsing off the bleach. There no other chemicals used during the finishing process. The fabric passes the international standard set by Oeko-Tex for banned and limited substances.
