I wore it all day and to late night after conference function and didn't stretch or smell bad like some fabrics do after 17 hours of wear. And did I say super comfie and flattering? Please make more solid colors!

The dress arrived in perfect condition, not a wrinkle in it! It is the perfect weight for New England weather and it is the perfect comfort level for a work day! After a 9-hour work day of sitting and standing and a tremendous amount of walking the dress looked as perfect as when I put it on in the morning. It is machine washable which makes it even better! I cannot say enough about how beautiful this dress is. I am 5 ft 3 and approximately 115 lb. The extra small fit me perfect! The full length is gorgeous silhouette. It looks stunning with flats or booties. I received an overflow of compliments! Please bring in more dresses of this quality!

Rated 5 out of 5 by squeegiebeckenheim from Lovely Dress for Cooler Temps I purchased this dress in the shades of maroon, thinking of it as an autumn dress, which it is. The material is heavy and looked great right out of the package when I received it, and again right out of the dryer when I washed it. The elastic waist looks good with or without a belt (it does not come with a belt). I wore it on a windy 55 degree day and the length and material kept me very comfortable even without tights or boots-- though I did add a sweater. It's a very comfortable dress that will get much use all winter long!

So lovely. She is about a 12. Fits like a glove. Well done garnet hill. I would ask you to consider more colors.

Rated 3 out of 5 by sookiestackhouse from Beautiful fabric, fit was off I own several maxi-length dresses from Garnet Hill and generally love them. This one, like my others, has a beautiful, comfortable fabric. For some reason, though, this one hangs in an unflattering way on my body, emphasizing the hips. It may be something about the cut of the slits on the side? In any case, I had hoped this lovely print would be a nice addition to my favorite dresses, but it didn't work out.

However, the dress (size M) is much to long for me—it grazes the floor—and I am tall (5'10") and have long legs. I am going to have it shortened. I can't do it myself because my machine does not do a good job on knit fabric. I am not pleased to have to pay to get the dress shortened. . .It ought not be so long.

But I had a feeling when I ordered it, it would be too long and I was right. I didn't even bother trying it on. It's super long. So I'd say if you are not at least 5' 5" don't bother.

Love the fit, drape, feel and color (I got the red) of the dress -- but there seems to be a quality problem with the fabric durability. It may be an aberration, but when I got it back from being altered and got ready to try it on for length, I noticed a series of puckers ending in a pucker that had opened into a small hole. Have never had problems with this alterations person before, so have to think it was there to begin with and I didn't notice when I hurriedly tried on the dress to pin the hem. (I'm 5'2"; I don't do "maxi" dresses.) GH got my inquiry on Monday, but so far I haven't had an answer to my request for a new dress in M. I'm not asking them to pay for the alterations on the first dress, and if necessary -- I'll have the seamstress to put a patch on the inside of the dress to keep the puckers/holes from becoming visible. Given the otherwise good quality of the dress and the very reasonable price -- I'm thinking this might be an experiment with less durable fabrics.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Not that Tall from Tall and thin. The material was too thin and at 5'10" tall the bottom of the dress touched the ground. I returned it. The belt could be wider and make a nicer tie.
