Great Texture and Details
This blouse has an easy fit with beautiful fabric and special lace details. It is a bit wide and boxy, which is the look I was hoping for. There is a lace detail that continues from front to back that brings the blouse in just a touch in the back. I did wash it and put it in the dryer in order to shorten the length a bit (I’m 5’3”) and it came out perfect. I did not have any problem with a warped sleeve seam as the previous reviewer did, but I think that issue could be solved by ironing the inside seam flat or even spraying it with water and pressing the seam back into place.

Beautiful details
I saw this in the catalog and it immediately pulled at my heartstrings. Such special cotton lace details, a modern bohemian silhouette, and organic cotton? Sold. But I’m only giving 4 stars and I’m leaving this review because it was difficult to decide on sizing. With no provided measurements, a 100% cotton garment that isn’t pre-shrunk, and no other reviews I was really nervous (especially at this price!) about sizing. I’m typically between a small and a medium for tops, but I’m tall and have long arms. I ordered the medium. The sleeves are the perfect length before washing so I might air-dry to keep it from shrinking, but the body is definitely large on me. I think this is intentionally oversized and flowy and I’m keeping the medium because if it does get a bit shrunk I want to minimize loss of length (esp. in the sleeves but on the total length as well). I think I’ll mostly be wearing this with a French tuck like on the model, paired with fitted jeans- in that scenario the extra fabric of the larger size is good. If I planned to wear it fully tucked in or not tucked in at all though I think the size down would be better. Hopefully that helps someone else out there! Oh! And one more thing I noticed. The sewn seam alongside the cotton lace running the length of the sleeves is a bit warped on one side so it covers the open lace from the inside, making it less noticeable in a few spots. That’s definitely a bummer and should have been designed to prevent the issue, but it’s only in a few spots and isn’t something an exchange would solve since they’re all sewn this way, so I’m going to get over it.

Very full cut / heavy fabric
I’m a size 4 wanted something long sleeve and gauze like. Ordered a Small. The heaviness of the fabric made the shirt look tent like and not flowing and easy looking . too much heavy fabric

Blouse Incorrectly Depicted
Hi Everyone at Garnet Hill,
My girlfriend sent me the photo of your blouse, and I ordered it immediately because I own very few dressy gauze shirts. When it arrived, I saw the real evidence that the blouse was very wide and not tapered at all. I am normally a size small or extra small, and this blouse fit me like it was a medium to large. It is far too boxy for small frames like mine. I'm so sad because your photo far surpasses the tangible product. There was also a dark blemish on the inside arm (right or left, can't remember). Thank you for asking for my opinion.
