Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fun skirt I was really pleased to grab this when it went on sale - 5'7" 150lbs and a Medium fit perfectly. It's fun to wear, swishy and long enough that I don't worry about kneeling or bending over over the course of the day. The first arrived with the bottom hem accidentally sewn up into the next-higher layer, but customer service was a pleasure to deal with and they swiftly helped my exchange it out. Major kudos for how easy that was! I love wearing it.

What is the waist size stretched and laying flat in a size XS versus S?

Asked by: Goldenretrievergirl
Don't know about the small, but the waist in the xs laying flat& fully stretched is 30".

Is this version smaller than last years

I'm typically an XS in Garnet Hill, but considering a S. Due to recent comments from other women that mention it is smaller. I'm 5'3", 112 lbs.
Asked by: DHOI
I ordered this skirt last year and this year and I did not find this year's version to be smaller. If it had been I would not have been able to wear it as I wear an XL.

Can this skirt be dry cleaned? It sounds like there are problems when it's washed.

Asked by: CaresEnoughToWrite
I have this skirt and I was it at home in my machine. I wasn't aware of problems? The waist feels like it may have gotten a little stretched out over time, but I've had it a while--and maybe I've lost weight?? :)

How long is this skirt. Not "knee length," but actual measurement from waist to hem....in inches.

Can this skirt be pulled down to ride on the hips to make it longer? I'm 5'7" and wear my skirts 3 to 4 " BELOW the knee. I love the skirt and would love to find a way for it to work for me.
Asked by: Puggins
I'm 5'8" and it falls lower on me than on the model in the photo. The elastic waist makes it easy to adjust where it sits on your hips/waist but depending on what you wear with it, it could travel up or down your waist. a belt worn at the hips would help. This is my second time purchasing this skirt. I purchase the first one a few years ago and got a lot of use and compliments. Unfortunately it got a stain from something in the washer and I was so thrilled to see it was still available. You can wear it all year.

I am 5'2" and weight 97 pounds. GH xs garments are often too big for me. Does anyone this size have experience trying on this knit flamenco skirt?

Asked by: Esss
I am a solid size 14 and purchased a large. I sent it back because it was too snug in the hips.

I am between a L and XL and not sure which size to go with? Does the skirt tend to run a bit generous or on the smaller size?

Asked by: FNFW
This skirt runs on the large. I am usually a size 6/8 or medium. Using the reviews I ordered an xsmall and it is perfect. Order down!

I'm petite (5'0", 120lbs, athletic). Could I easily hem the skirt by removing the last ruffle, or would I need to take to a tailor as I did the

Barcelona skirt this summer? I can sew, but the Barcelona skirt had asymmetrical ruffles and I didn't want to chance it. Thank you, Indian 22
Asked by: Indian
You could not hem this unless you are an expert. I would not want to alter this skirt, but if you do, go to a professional.

Does the born asbee boot in gray go with the gray flamenco skirt? Also would it look good with a fitted sweater like the signature merino cardigan?

Asked by: tbm1961
The gray boots do match the Flamenco Skirt in Pewter. The Flamenco Skirt looks very nice with fitted sweaters.
