Kensington Iron Bed is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 10.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from well constructed and beautiful I love this bed frame, which I purchased in gunmetal. It's even more beautiful in person. The construction is sturdy and well designed. It feels like something I'll be able to pass down to future kids. So happy I purchased this. It will transform any room!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simple elegance Bought a pair of headboards in the white and another pair in gunmetal. These are simple but with just the right amount of detail to make these headboards timeless and classic. You will not be disappointed if you want a headboard that doesn’t overwhelm a small space but adds just enough interest.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Kensington Iron Bed I bought this bed to replace a full size antique bed that I had and wanted something that would still hold true to the room it is in. The craftsmanship is incredible and substantial and the instructions for putting it together were easy to follow. I would highly recommend this bed to anyone.

what is the prop 65 bed for on this bed? Is it listed b/c of the finish or the material the bed is constructed of?

Even the State of California has stated, 'The fact that a product bears a Proposition 65 warning does not mean by itself that the product is unsafe'. Garnet Hill is fully compliant with Proposition 65 and is committed to providing only high quality and safe products for our customers.

Would this frame be adaptable to a sleep number bed?

Asked by: Carolyn 1940
This bed accommodates an 8" deep mattress & 7" deep box spring. When determining whether your mattress will fit, consider also weight. For example, the king size bed will hold a total weight of 1500 pounds.

We don't suggest putting a trundle under the queen sized Kensington bed as it is only 7.5" from floor to bottom of frame. The queen and king sizes also have a center support.

Regarding the free standing metal support for the mattress/box spring, can a person replace this system with wooden slats?

Most quality beds do not use this metal support system, as it is visible and makes the bed look like it has four legs. Would there be any way to convert this bed into one that uses wooden slats? Thank you for your time researching this.
Asked by: La La La
No, it cannot be replaced with wooden slats.

With a standard box spring, what is the drop for a bedskirt? 14 or 18 inches?

Asked by: Pomonkey
Boxsprings average from 8" to 12" deep. Determing what length bedskirt you need depends on how high your boxspring sits on the bedframe. As bedrames vary in height, you would need to measure from the top of the boxspring, once placed on the bedframe, to the floor to determine which length is required.

daybed mattress question

do I understand correctly that no box spring is required -- or even possible -- for the daybed (or trundle)?
