Ilse Jacobsen Short Quilted Jacket is rated 3.6 out of 5 by 8.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from simple but elegant in a sporty fashion. It is very light but warm enough for a 40 degree fall day.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great citified look. Lovely jacket. Looks sophisticated. Length is great as well as fit. Lightweight and packable. Could take the place of a blazer

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Short boxy jacket is nice but not great I loved the look of this jacket, and it fits pretty well in my usual GH size. The sleeves are a bit long, but okay. But it's really really boxy, and hard to tell just how straight it is until it's zipped (which I might want to do). It's very lightweight, a slightly lighter gray than the photo online -- in the light it is lighter since the fabric has a bit of sheen to it -- I'd call it a dark mid-gray. The pockets are so small as to be useless (not good these days). Just not for me.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It works... I wanted to replace a similar jacket (German manufacturer) that I LOVE. This one comes pretty close. I have spent time off and on for the last 18 months looking for something that would work. I like the dark gray and the weight is good for the southern US, temps in the 50's and 60's. And, it works both indoors as a finish to a look and outdoors for a bit of warmth and protection. It's expensive for what it is, but finding that middle ground between an outdoor, super casual and something lighter that can be worn almost like a suit jacket is tough. So, I bought it. I wore it yesterday for the first time and it was quite okay.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice style, but may return Very stylish lightweight jacket. The color is also very nice. I'm not a big fan of black and this shade is a nice warm dark grey. I like that. I like it overall, but may end up returning. It makes quite a bit of swishing noise and the sleeves are astronomically long.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not my favorite jacket! I loved the look of this jacket from the picture but it turned out to have enough "cons" that I sent it back. Sleeves very long, oddly shaped structure, and long for my short-waisted body. Part of the problem could be that I am very petite (4'11" and 105 lbs) and a 2-4 sizing was just too big.

People say the arms are long. What is the sleeve length of sz 10? It looks like the band on the sleeve could be removed and the sleeve shortened and band stitched back on. What is the length from neckline to hem? Is it snug in the torso?

Asked by: Supahshoppah
The garment measurements for the size 10 are: Chest 43" Center back length 26" Center back sleeve length 33.5" Sweep 42"

How does this jacket run size wise?  I wear a 36 B bra size. I'm 5'2" and weigh 138 lbs.  Should I buy a 38 or 40?

Asked by: Marzo
Hi, I'm just your size and bought this jacket in the size 12(42) as recommended by truefit. I think it was the right size. May have been able to wear size 10(40), but not over anything very thick. Ordinarily I buy size 10. Although the sleeves on this jacket are astronomically long. My shoulders are a bit wide, you may get by with the 10(40), but I really don't think the 8(38) will do.

could the collar lay flat or does it have to be up?

Asked by: klo1972
Hi, I just got this jacket and the collar does turn down about half way, not flat, but enough to change the style a bit. Does not have to be worn straight up.
