Designed for deep mattresses
The finish is not very soft. I am hopeful that with repeated washings, the sheets will become softer.
The sheets are designed for deeper mattresses than the normal-sized mattress. I have the typical-sized mattress, so there is a lot of extra fabric on both the fitted and flat sheets.

Not what I expected
I have purchased sheets from Garnet Hill before and they were wonderful. Unfortunately, even after washing, these were stiff and scratchy. Not what I expected considering the price. I returned them.
