Modest Quality Suits for Little Ones
I love that you make modest suits for little girls. My 4.5 year old loves the skirts and short sleeve rash guards (which are becoming harder to find). Thank you for making them fun and cute and most importantly protecting them from the sun. We live in Florida and practically live in the pool.

Worth Every Penny
This is the second one I've purchased for my granddaughter. It doesn't shrink or fade. It DOES NOT ride up her little bottom. She loves to jump off the side of the pool over and over. BEST SUIT I have purchased for her by far!

Worth the investment!
I purchased this skirt in the "strawberry dot" print in a size 7 for my 7 year old who typically wears a size 6/7. I wish I was able to post pictures to show how adorable this suit is! The color is beautiful and the suit is still soft, unfaded and holding it's elasticity after wearing it almost daily for 6 days in the Caribbean. Of note, the color does continue to fade after multiple washings so be careful not to lay it wet on lighter clothing.

We ordered this swim bottom in a size 14 for my soon-to-be 13 year old daughter. The swim bottom was very small on her, so we returned it. The waist was very low, and the ruffles are not very long. My daughter is very slender and lanky, and she felt uncomfortable in how skimpy it was.

I love the swim skirt, but the waist is a bit loose on my daughter. She is 7, rather slender, and generally wears a 6x, so I ordered a size 6. I decided not to exchange it for a size 5 because though the waist would probably fit better, the leg holes might be too tight. The leg openings are perfect on the size 6. Also, her sisters aren't as thin as she is, so the bottoms might fit them better once they reach this size. And maybe it's just the pair I got, but I measured the inside of the waist and it measured 23.5". The size chart says it should be 22".

My daughter is 6 but she's fairly skinny so we purchased a size 4 bottom for her and it's still too big! We tried it on and it's completely falling off her waist. Not quite sure how to remedy the situation since there is no size smaller than 4?! The swimsuit is cute...just wish it came in her size.

Cute & Modest But Faded Quickly
I love that this swim skirt fully covers my 9 year-old's bottom; she is an active swimmer, and we were tired of swimsuits designed to make her look as though she was 21 or one-pieces in which her bottom hung out every time she jumped out of the pool. So, in that this covers well, I'm very pleased, and my daughter thinks its very cute. HOWEVER, the background was white on this when it arrived, and within 3 wears, it's now a dirty-white color, and all the colors (which were originally pretty vibrant) have taken on an "out-in-the-sun-all-summer" look. This is very disappointing considering she's worn it less than a week.

Suit runs small bought both pieces for my 7 y/o went with size 7 bc Garnet suits tend to run true to size wish I had gotten size larger rash guard is a little short hits top off swim skirt my daughter likes them longer
Overall quality seems ok suit is a little thin and top is wide and short waisted. Cute pattern but definitely will only get this season out of it bc of size issues

First, I am fairly particular about bathing suits (need two piece - for easy bathroom trips, and a top that covers the belly). Since I have three girls, I like that GH offers multiple patterns that fit my demands so the kids can each get something different. We have ordered from here the last two years. This year's skirts are shorter than last years, which is why I gave it a lower rating. I'm sure it wouldn't bother most people, but seeing my daughter's bottom hang out of a "skirt" (albeit a bathing suit) still bothers me.

Does not drain, gets heavy/stretchy/moldy
I bought my daughter a skirted swim bottom (and matching top) from GH back in '18 and, though it was cute, it wound up being tossed in early summer because it would not drain, took days to dry, stretched so much while wet (because it got so heavy with water) and developed mold spots after the first use even though it was hung up to dry in a combination of sun and AC for days.
Well, I tried again this year and bought my daughter another GH swim skirt/matching top and it's the same problem. My daughter wore it one time- the first time- a week ago to play in the sprinkler/pool and the skirt immediately began to stretch/sag because it hangs onto water and doesn't drain. It looks cute when dry, but add water and it looks awful and I have to keep pulling her skirt up as it sags/stretches. Even when she was out of the water a good hour or so, it was still super wet and heavy. So, last Saturday I rung it out and hung it up- hung it up to let it air dry in the sun two hours and then brought it inside in the AC to hang. I checked it the next morning and it was still very wet and heavy and I tried to ring it out again. I hung it back up, hanging free and clear in the AC and left it there until today (Saturday) when she was going back into the pool/sprinklers. Well, despite everything I did, it had black mold spots and even red stains (resembles rust). Our AC has been running the entire week, everything else I hang or have hung- including every other family members' suits (different brands)- has dried within an hour or so. It's ridiculous this GH suit should get moldy as nothing else does- it's just a poor design/poor material for a swimsuit.
The only possible solution is to wash this suit every single time you use it (and immediately after use) and make sure it's on a high spin cycle and then put it in the drier (which you shouldn't do with swim suits). With her first skirt/top I did try washing it and ran it on high spin and hung it, but it only developed more mold spots. I did try putting it in the dryer once, but it wound up looking shabby. So, I bought her another suit that year from a comparable designer and it drained/dried well as expected, so that I'm going to have to do again this year.
I really expect more with an expensive suit from such a brand. I have bought swim skirts from Lands End for over 12yrs and they don't sag when wet, they don't get heavy when wet, and they dry within 35-40min when I'm out of the pool or if I hang them to dry and they don't definitely don't get mold spots. So, this is the last time I buy a suit from GH unless they fix their material issues. The top is less heavy, but it holds water the same. They dry faster, but both (the one in '18 and this year's) developed mold spots, as well. They are absolutely cute until you get them wet.
