Medium weight signature white down comforter.
This medium weight comforter is nice looking and very well constructed. It is heavy enough to keep us comfortably warm on most Virginia winter nights and on very cold nights we just add a blanket. However, it is light enough for use through much of spring and fall Some reviewers noted that the cover fabric tends to crackle - it does but not enough( to be annoying. The only minor improvement would be if there were ties on the comforter corners to attach to the ties in the cover.

Exceeded my expectations! It’s so comfortable and no feathers can escape the material. I purchased the heavy weight comforter and just put it on the bed as it’s becoming colder. Thought of getting an electric blanket as well but may not need one now, love it!

Perfect weight
We live north of the Golden Gate and this is the perfect weight most of the year. I weighed between purchasing this Garnet Hill Signature Down Comforter and and Feathered Friends Bavarian 700 and so far so good. I like the return policy with GH and figured if it did not work out I would send back.
We recycled the one bought 20 years ago. It was definitely heavier and yet not as warm, so this one feels like a huge upgrade. My husband worried, no matter how much I try to explain how down works, that it would be too warm so he kept a lighter blanket on his side of the bed handy just in case but he hasn't needed it yet. That means a lot!

GH bedding is always high quality and this comforter is no exception. Living in the mid-west I thought the medium weight might be too light but I use a duvet cover in winter so it's perfect. Very pleased with this purchase.

Wonderful quilt
We bought this quilt for a queen bed because we wanted a bigger quilt that would keep us both warm, even if pulled from side to side or up and down. It's working out beautifully. It's big, warm, and fluffy. As a bonus, the thread count on the fabric is so high that the fur of our black cat barely sticks to it. I recommend this quilt.

Warm and cozy!
I bought this in the winter weight about a month ago and love it for our Pennsylvania winters, I look forward to getting into bed every evening. It’s a tad warm for my husband but he’s figured out how to make it work. After 25 years with the same old duvet and piles of blankets, I’m very happy we splurged for this upgrade!

Glad I made this purchase!
Previously, I had purchased two different duvet inserts from other companies and I was unhappy. Glad I waited and made this purchase, because this down comforter is just what I was searching for. Over the past few days the down in the comforter has become more fluffy and has kept us warm during the chilly nights in WV.

Perfectly sized
I bought the medium-weight comforter about a month ago, and love it. It's got great loft, and is sized perfectly. Finally, I have a comforter that works with my comforter covers so that I don't have lots of extra fabric flapping around. The tie-in options work great so your comforter doesn't float around in the cover; it stays centered.

I needed a replacement of an old lightweight down comforter which I used year-round living in Northern California and PNW, chose the light version of this one and it's perfect - warm when you need it to be, but always airy/light, not too warm for summer. One minor issue is that it arrived with the corner band for securing the comforter ripped off, but I didn't feel like going through the exchange process just for that. Recommend.

Bought a second one...love this comforter!
I bought this exact same light weight signature GH comforter years ago and needed a second one for another bedroom. Fabric gets softer with washing, and some spoke about crinkly sound of the fabric that goes away with washing. We live in PA and the weather is cold in the winter but this suffices well with the flannel duvet from GH. I hope to get another duvet that is for spring/ summer. No regrets, light is warm enough!

Super luxury!
I had a comforter from Macy’s that I loved: super thick and warm. But, it wasn’t quite wide enough and my feet sometimes stuck out the bottom. It’s a medium warmth rated and was not cheap. So, I ponied up even more money for a Garnet Hill version as it is 8 inches wider and a foot longer and figured the medium would also work.
When it arrived, I first thought it was not going to be warm enough: it seemed lighter and less full of down than my Macy’s version. But, the materials and finishing was superior to the Macy’s version so I figured I would at least try it one night. Well, it’s amazing! Apparently, not all down fill is equal! The Garnet Hill comforter is warmer in the cold and cooler in the hot...just a far superior performing comforter. You get under this thing and you instantly feel heat that seems to be coming from the comforter...as if it were an electric blanket or something. I love this thing!

Winter is coming
I'm giving this five stars but I really should give it one star, here's why, I'm beginning to see no reason to get out of bed. The fluffy goodness holds me in and gone are the days of early rising and morning meditations. I'm not sure it was such a good idea to splurge on this comforter of laziness as I demand coffee be brought to me in bed, my good husband wonders what is to become of me? Do I want to take a nap now? You betcha. Is 9 pm to early to go to bed? Nah! I bought the medium fill after reading the winter might be too much even for a New Hampshire winter. So far I've been very happy with the wonderful cloud that now covers me as I lay in bed. Wait for the sale, you'll still feel guilty for buying it, but 20% less guilty. Darn you Garnet Hill. Buyers beware!

The sewn quilted pattern is 14" squares. The comforter is at minimum, 80% down. The remainder of the fill is feathers.

The perfect weight would depend both on climate and a person's body temperature while sleeping. All of our down or down alternative comforters are ideal for 4 season use.

Looking at twin size the ounces of fill are 18 for light, 22 for medium and 30 for winter. The actual weight of the twin comforter in light is 5.55lbs, medium 5.80lbs and winter 5.90lbs.
