Garnet Hill Signature White Down Comforter is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 51.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Down comforter This is a great down comforter. I could not best happier.
Date published: 2015-03-29
Rated 5 out of 5 by from A cloud comforter Beautiful, light and warm. I feel like I'm sleeping in a cloud. I got medium weight and will have to supplement it with a blanket in winter but it is great for autumn just as is.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from HOT! We bought this about a month ago. The comforter is beautiful and fit perfectly in our duvet. I bought the medium weight comforter, but wish I would have bought the light. It is extremely warm. Almost too warm.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Light is warm enough I bought the light version and it is warm enough. I live in Colorado where we have moderate winters. I'll see how it does on the really cold nights, but so far it is even a bit too warm for chilly, but not cold nights.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Down comforter I ordered medium warm, king size comforter.. My first impression was “ too light as a medium?”it is kind of thin though it is warm enough for sleeping in a room temperature around 70 degrees.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice but loosing down I like it it’s very lightweight but after a few months of use the down still comes out and when changing the duvet cover I have winter in the bedroom

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Too Noisy Great quality, great price on sale but the covering fabric makes a crinkly sound I didn't care for

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Cozy As Can Be Bought this after begging for years to get a duvet, got it just in time for a cold snap. Power went out and it got down to almost 40 degrees in the house, but we were snug as bugs in a rug with this guy on top of a cotton blanket and a sheet. In fact, we’ve started turning off the thermostat at night because we don’t need the extra heat! Love the loops for fastening a duvet cover to the corners, I had to sew ties into my non-Garnet Hill cover because it’s such a handy feature.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Like this Nice mattress cover; however, Garnet Hill advertises them as 100% down. The cover label says, "at least 80% down."

Rated 4 out of 5 by from nice enough comforter Although this is a very nice comforter, I sent it back because I felt it was a little thin (I did order the light weight) and didn't want to go to a heavier weight for more fluffy-ness. The shell is a very nice cotton, with none of the crinkly sounds that some comforters have. Ultimately, I decided to go with GH signature primalift comforter instead.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Odor Light weight was nice, but may be too warm for summer. So I wouldn't necessarily consider it a year-round weight. Biggest issue was the odor. It smelled horrible. After laying out in the sun (recommended by GH customer service), it was no better so I returned the item. I did not want to incur the expense of laundering. The comforter was returned and I received a speedy refund.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Lightweight was too warm. Nothing wrong with the comforter itself. I ordered the lightweight and it was far too warm.
Date published: 2020-10-20
Rated 1 out of 5 by from size is not as described I ordered a 90x96 winter fill comforter, but it is significantly smaller than the EILEEN FISHER Duvet Cover 88x94. Then I ordered a duvet cover size 88x92, the comforter is still smaller. I will say the comforter will fit duvet cover size at 84x92.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Too hot! I ordered the light weight, and it is too hot even in winter. It feels heavy on and does not breathe. My husband and I refer to this as the death blanket. Also, I didn't realize until I received it that is says Garnet Hill all over it, which is really ugly. I use a cover so it is not a big deal, but why??? I have purchased something else, and I will save this in the even there is a power outage in the middle of winter.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Garnet Hill printed all over comforter I read another review that said "Garnet Hill" was printed all over the comforter and I thought the reviewer was being sarcastic. But, no, it's true. "Garnet Hill" is printed all over this comforter. It looks ridiculous. You MUST use a duvet cover with this. I've never ever seen a down comforter with the company splashed all over it. It looks terrible.

The sewn quilted pattern is 14" squares. The comforter is at minimum, 80% down. The remainder of the fill is feathers.

What weight would you recommend for a dorm room in Boston? Not sure how well the heat works and also need something that can be used for all three seasons, so we're looking for something warm but also versatile. Thanks!

Asked by: hpham
The perfect weight would depend both on climate and a person's body temperature while sleeping. All of our down or down alternative comforters are ideal for 4 season use.

Why are the king sized duvet covers only 101x86 but the King sized comforters 104x86?

Asked by: 18cam
The difference in measurement allows the duvet to be filled, not loose inside.

I'm undecided.  It's between "down alternative" and this European "white down".  Is your white down product responsibly sourced?

Asked by: hollyt
Our white down product is responsibly sourced.
