Not Just Swimwear
I was taken by the rose floral pattern and the fact that this rash was on sale. It definitely exceeded my expectations with its flare for styling, beautiful piping, and zipper. I ordered small as that is what I run in sweaters. It is a little snug for me, but I can stretch it a bit. I was so impressed I turned around and ordered the batik pattern in M. This is something one can wear when the weather cools down a bit in California's Central Valley or when AAUW holds its retreat up at Huntington Lake.

time-tested quality
I bought one of these rash shirts last year and love it. I used it for the full season of my rowing team (twice per week) and it is still going strong. I wear rash shirts to avoid using greasy sunscreen on my sensitive skin (also no mosquito bites); after a full season of weekly washing and sun exposure, this one has not faded, shrunk, loosened it's stretchy-ness, or shown ANY wear. They say it's 'new' but since mine has a really nice grosgrain zipper, I have to think it's the same model and quality as last year. I wash out the sweat by using Woolite, cold water gentle cycle in the washing machine and hang dry. The zipper is hefty, never catches and easy to zip. MOST IMPORTANT: blocks UVB rays as advertised. I like the full coverage mock-turtleneck that other makers don't have: it is not binding and I never notice the neck while rowing because the material of so wonderfully giving. I thought this was expensive and that I was "splurging" when I bought it, because I like the pattern so much; but after a year of use I know this is a serious piece of athletic equipment, and I am going to buy another, just because! Absolutely worth every penny: due to durability. Fit note: I am 5'6", 138lbs and 34-inch bust, and small fits me perfectly.

Function and Style!
I am a big chested woman. I enjoy wearing rash guards so I may wear an exercise bra underneath.
I was concerned about the high neckline making me look bigger, but I bought it anyway because I like the pattern.
I am glad that I did. I received two complements on it the first time I wore it.
I couldn't expect more.

Nice Rashguard
Runs true to size - I'm a 34B and the medium fit perfectly. Material is good quality - nice thickness and the piece is finished well (zipper, seams etc.)

Love it!
This is a stylish rash guard I just might wear more than at the beach! Love the print, love the fit. The high neck not only looks nice but adds the extra protection I like.

better than a t shirt
I purchased this rash guard for a trip to Florida. It provided stylish and comfortable protection from too much sun on my shoulders during the days on the beach and doubled as a fashionable top with jeans and skirts for the evening. I liked it so much, I plan to buy another one!

Great top for sun protection or cooler temps
I bought this top after vacationing in the Bahamas in June when the sun was incredibly strong and no amount of sunblock was enough. Of course I probably won't need it quite like I did then, but I am still glad I have it for days when I've received too much sun the day before but still need to be outside.

Should ask my daughter
Wish I could answer this review with a first hand opinion but I can't. The first day I went to wear my navy blue striped swim shirt my 12year old daughter swiped it and I have not had it as mine since! Doesn't seem to bother her that the shirt is a L and she would probably wear an exS or S. She folds up the sleeves for "style" (I say for fit but noooo) and has been wearing it pretty much all summer at Hampton Beach during vacation and at our community pool at home. She LOVES it, especially how it has a long reachable zipper in the back. I told her I would buy her a shirt in her size but she is not interested. She has her own sense of style and since this particular piece is from GH I know she has good taste! Going to have to get myself another one but NO WAY can we both have the navy blue stripe, her problem not mine. I think we'd look adorable:)

Such a smart idea!
Since I spend many days of vacation alternating between cooking in a hot tub and cooling off in a pool, I've been needing something like this rashguard forever. I worry about sun exposure so I've been reduced to wearing old tees in the water. Although I haven't had a chance to get my "swim turtleneck" wet yet, I can't wait. It fits beautifully, looks sharp, and I know it will do the job. I got the navy striped one to match my new suit and will wear it with the blue paisley retro ruched suit, too. It's true to size, easy to put on, and the same substantial fabric as the swimsuits. Please keep making these. Offering a style that zips all the way down the front would be even better!

perfect fit
Great-looking rash guard, true to size - I ordered my normal GH size, and as other reviewers said, the fit is not skin tight, making it easy to get on and off (at least when it's dry - I haven't yet tried to get it off when it's wet). Flattering cut and great prints.

Nice Rashguard
Never thought at my age I would look decent in this rashguard, but it looks great! Size is true and I love it! Bought the flowered one to be cheery and it is better than expected. By the way, I'm 66 yrs. old so I think everyone could wear this.

Quality
This rash guard is slightly heavier and significantly higher quality than other rash guards I own. The fit is TTS but not skin tight, so it looks tailored - very flattering. Am I the only person who wears these around town or out to dinner & not just at the beach? I get lots of compliments and no one knows they are meant to be swimwear!

Stylish Rash Guard
I have ordered two of these rash guards, they are very figure flattering, have the added protection for the neck, and comfortable to wear on the beach, in the water, and snorkeling.
They are easy to put on and take off, dries quickly too.

great fit, fabric, comfort and coverage
I liked the fit and comfort of this shirt from the moment I put it on. The fabric is relatively thick and it has a slight neck for better sun protection. The sleeves could be a little bit longer so they cover the wrist and back of hand a little bit. Otherwise, I love this shirt!

Love these Rash Guards!
I bought these for myself and they are wonderful! They fit perfectly and wash wonderfully. They look great and go with all kinds of bottoms. I went back and purchased 4 more. I wear them all the time, since I cannot be in the sun!

Beautiful rashguard
We should all be more concerned about sun exposure and this beautiful swim top helps protect fashionably. The fabric moves in all directions, so swimming in it is comfortable. I liked the first one so much I immediately bought a second,

Great Rash Guard
Purchased the medium, I wanted a loose fit & measure 36" @ bust. Fit was loose but not too loose, good fabric that rinsed & dried quickly. Was great to have extra UPF protection.

A good purchase
I was worried the sleeves might be too short--like the picture, but they come down well on my wrists. It is not as form fitting as a standard rash guard, flaps around a little in the water but not a problem. It looks and feels good. I'm 5'4", 123 lb. with long arms. The small was perfect. Love it.

This actually looks good and is easy to get on and off, as it is not too tight and has a long back zipper. Looks like a tee shirt, fits a bit loose (which is fine with me for water exercise class) but does not ride up.

Perfect
As the snow falls in Alaska, I am dreaming of the summer. This rashguard will get me through it (and with style!) without looking like a Baked Alaskan by the end. I actually am medically required to cover my skin with UPF fabric. Often enough the choices are not as fashion oriented or comfy. This is both. Super soft and well styled with a zipper in the back and a piece of material to help zip open and close. It is not skin tight in the size range. I am usually a 4 and ordered a 4-6. There is a little room.

Perfect for swimming and time on the beach
I found that the large is a little loose but I am ok with that when I am out of the water and with it loose in the water there is a little drag but nothing to complain about

Comfortable, but could use some improvements
Love the comfort and durability of Garnet Hill rash guards, though they are pricey unless you catch a sale. I have had the boatneck style since 2016 and it has held up to saltwater and sunscreen without fading or stretching. Took a chance on the turtleneck - was afraid it might chafe the neck, but have found it comfy, BUT my hair is often getting caught in the zipper, would you consider moving it to the front. It would be helpful to have a more snug fit for less drag and better coverage, or to have thumbholes to keep the sleeves from rolling inside out and slipping back along the forearm.

Great pattern options
Bought this then had to exchange it. GH mixed up my request and refunded it. After I called them they were quick to remedy the mix up and send out the correct size. I will say that the M and L have the same arm length. I am a little long in the arms so I'm not surprised, just wishing it were a bit longer in the arms and wishing it weren't so expensive. I like the zipper! Looking forward to wearing it in another couple months.

Works as a casual shirt, too!
I bought this rash guard to wear as a shirt, since I must avoid UV radiation. Because it wicks moisture, it's cool enough to wear in hot weather and when sized up a bit, works well as a casual top. The material is substantial. It would be great if this shirt came in even more neutral patterns and colors and if the price could be reduced - for a nylon T-shirt, this is just too much for what you get.

Super Cute but Beware the Back Zip
Super cute but I am returning this item solely due to the back zip. I could not figure out how to avoid getting my hair caught every time I tried to zip up the back because of the high neck line. I loved the way it looked and fit--yes it is a slim fit, but it just wasn't comfortable to slip on and off.

Flattering & quality
I ordered this rash guard and the swim shirt. This rash guard is very flattering and the high neck adds extra protection from the sun. The fabric is high quality but also thick. My intent was to wear it for the beach and the thick material seemed like it would be too hot. Decided to return and find something lighter weight. The swim shirt, on the other hand was perhaps too thin, plus the loose crew neck didn’t offer the crucial sun protection. Returned it too.

Pretty fabric, fit a little weird
I bought the red indigo print and it's lovely. The fabric seems a little heavier than the previous crew neck rashguard I bought from Garnet Hill and I hope it holds up better -- especially as this shirt is expensive. The large seems to run a bit small. If you're closer to a 14 than a 12, I suggest ordering up if XL is available. This is the first rashguard I've bought with the zipper in the back. It rubs a little, but I'm hoping I'll get used to it.

I usually prefer size medium / 8 tops- but do not own a rash guard. I don't want it to be too loose for swimming- but not too tight either. My chest is A/B - more like 36" (matches size small on here). Any suggestions as to whether I should try S or M?
