Garnet Hill Plush-Loft Blanket and Throw is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 152.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful Blanket I have purchased three of these blankets, two as gifts and one for myself. The lighter blue color is particularly lovely. The blanket is soft and cuddly on one side while crisp and high quality feeling on the other. I intend to purchase one for each bed in my home.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful product! I bought the king size to use as a bedspread on my queen bed. The color (dark blue) is rich and looks great with my taupe walls and white trim. I love the soft ‘furry’ underside. I live in New England; the blanket is fairly light and it keeps me cozy and warm all night, despite freezing temperatures outside. The quality is top-notch. Garnet Hill sells excellent products, and I’m now a loyal customer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Omg so cozy!! I LOVE this. It is so warm & cozy in a house with old windows so cold air drafts & I am too lazy to start a fire. I have now bought one for my Mom. I bought in blue & navy, both colors beautiful.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good quality and warm! I bought the pale sage for my guest bedroom as an extra layer of warmth. It looks nice folded at the foot of the bed and will be perfect for overnight guests to use over the duvet cover.

What does the 550 fill power mean in terms of how warm the blanket is. I bought one. It is extremely heavy so I am assuming it is very warm. I have not used it yet. Wanting to get some information if I can. I live in Texas and it may be too warm.

Asked by: AEMS
Pending Moderation Fill Power is the volume one ounce of down will fill when measured in cubic inches. Down with a higher fill power provides better warmth because it takes up more space, causing more air to be trapped, and in turn, retaining your body's natural warmth. The higher the fill power, the more insulating the down. We find this to be a great year round blanket.

so many 5 star reviews. where are the suggestions telling how to keep it from sliding off the bed?

great appearance. the feel is total luxury and baby soft. warm! no need for second cover. however, first wash, lost about 3" in width and did follow wash instructions. lucky to have an 8+cu' dryer to fluff and dry low. the slipping is a huge issue. first, i used it w reg sheets. next, tried w a flannel. no luck. now, i removed my top sheet and use a flannel bottom. anything, to help it "stick" to the bed. NO LUCK! wake often, just to pull it back on.........and now it's smaller! shall i sew weights on the sides? hate to give it up, but guess that i'll have to use on a smaller bed........ think that it might work better for a throw......at least, most of the time one is awake and able to keep covered.

We do cut this item to allow for the shrinkage. Perhaps try turning it over so the sateen side is down to see if that helps with the sliding.

Wondering about the shade of blue...looks more of a green on my computer screen. could you please describe? thank you

Asked by: marygrace
i called before purchasing. was told that it was closer to blue. it's not! it is truly a soft teal. a very nice color and quiet enough, that it should blend a bit both ways. but, yes, it does have green in it.

Does the fluffy side get static-y? It looks so soft but concerned that it'll produce static electricity in our dry California winters.

Asked by: TripletMommy
If it is very dry in your home, you may have some static electricity.

Would this make a good comforter for a child's bed?

I'm considering the Garnet Hill Essentials Blanket or Comforter for our children's beds, but after seeing this, maybe this is a cozier option. They are HOT sleepers so something heavy wouldn't work. And the down blankets they currently use make them sweaty. We don't use flat sheets, just a blanket and fitted sheet. Any thoughts?
Asked by: MamaClaire
The warmth would be approximately the same to slightly warmer than the Essential Down Blanket. Either would be a good option for your situation.
