Garnet Hill Plush-Loft Blanket and Throw is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 197.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from So comfy! I bought this blanket because I stayed at a friend's house and she had this blanket on the bed I slept in and I loved it. It is so warm but it isn't heavy. I love the color. I got the celestial blue.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect throw to curl up with a book I love this throw. It is nice looking with the fabric side out on the end of the bed. More importantly the plush side feels warm and snuggly when you take a nap or read a book. So glad I found it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Soft but not too heavy My family visited from Michigan and loved these so much that they ordered a few. They are soft and cozy but not too heavy. Just wish they were organic. Not a fan of toxic dyes and pesticides.

What does the 550 fill power mean in terms of how warm the blanket is. I bought one. It is extremely heavy so I am assuming it is very warm. I have not used it yet. Wanting to get some information if I can. I live in Texas and it may be too warm.

Asked by: AEMS
Pending Moderation Fill Power is the volume one ounce of down will fill when measured in cubic inches. Down with a higher fill power provides better warmth because it takes up more space, causing more air to be trapped, and in turn, retaining your body's natural warmth. The higher the fill power, the more insulating the down. We find this to be a great year round blanket.

so many 5 star reviews. where are the suggestions telling how to keep it from sliding off the bed?

great appearance. the feel is total luxury and baby soft. warm! no need for second cover. however, first wash, lost about 3" in width and did follow wash instructions. lucky to have an 8+cu' dryer to fluff and dry low. the slipping is a huge issue. first, i used it w reg sheets. next, tried w a flannel. no luck. now, i removed my top sheet and use a flannel bottom. anything, to help it "stick" to the bed. NO LUCK! wake often, just to pull it back on.........and now it's smaller! shall i sew weights on the sides? hate to give it up, but guess that i'll have to use on a smaller bed........ think that it might work better for a throw......at least, most of the time one is awake and able to keep covered.

We do cut this item to allow for the shrinkage. Perhaps try turning it over so the sateen side is down to see if that helps with the sliding.

Wondering about the shade of blue...looks more of a green on my computer screen. could you please describe? thank you

Asked by: marygrace
i called before purchasing. was told that it was closer to blue. it's not! it is truly a soft teal. a very nice color and quiet enough, that it should blend a bit both ways. but, yes, it does have green in it.

Does the fluffy side get static-y? It looks so soft but concerned that it'll produce static electricity in our dry California winters.

Asked by: TripletMommy
If it is very dry in your home, you may have some static electricity.
