Garnet Hill Essential Down Blanket and Throw is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 503.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well made blanket If you’ve never owned a down blanket you’re missing out! They are all year round comfort. This one is well constructed and a very nice weight.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfy blankets, beautiful color (clay) Love this down blanket. Bought 2 for twin XL guest beds. Perfect for ten months of the year in northern MN; July n August being too warm but then they lay across the bottom of the beds. Clay color is more “salmon” in color, but kept the blankets and they brighten our guest space in a pine paneled room.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Down blanket Lovely color. Nice light weight. It is worth the rather high price because it is so well made and attractive.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Greetings The blanket down comforter is truly the best for my needs. Cool due to its' lightness, yet warm as well. I couldn't be happier.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love It! Bought this on sale a while back, limited colors but the lovely, peaceful subdued green reminded me of spring to come. Light-weight but just enough warmth for now and warmer days ahead. Ideally, was looking for down filled light weight throw but not available so purchased twin size which works fine for what I needed in both bedroom and elsewhere.

What is the difference between the "down blanket and throw" and the "down comforter" item? (Assuming I order the same size, and same color) Is it the amount of down? (Both say 550 fill power duck down) Is the comforter thicker/warmer than the blanket?

Asked by: SuzanS
The Down Blanket is larger and has less ounces of fill. The Down Comforter is smaller and has more ounces of fill. The comforter is thicker/warmer than the blanket.

Is the Dune color in the down throw as dark as in the photo online?

I have this down throw in Dune from years ago. (I checked with Garnet Hill to find out what color I had ordered.) However comparing my throw to the Dune color in the photo online, the Dune in the photo looks much darker. Has anyone received this color lately and, if so, how does it visually compare to how it looks online? I LOVE my throw and would really like to get the same color again if possible. Thank you.
Asked by: JSBR
The dune color has not changed. It is lighter than it appears in the photo.

How is the down by-product used to fill these processed to ensure it is clean, healthy, and fresh?

Asked by: GreenEggsNHam
The down is washed with detergent for about 10 minutes, and is rinsed with clean water ( about 5 minutes), and repeat again. Then the down is dried in a steam dryer at 120 C for 30 minutes. After that, the down is sent from the dryer to a "cooler" for about 5 minutes. This allows the down to adjust to the ambient air temperature and also performs the added function of removing any dust that may remain.

White is not pure white?

My white throw arrived today and it looks more like ivory to me. Is that how the white is? I'm not happy with it. I have white slipcovered living room furniture and it does not look white next to it!
Asked by: ljpc24
The white is slightly off from a snow white. Not so much to call it a natural, or ivory, but in comparison to a brighter white, it may look less white.

Our boys are hot sleepers. Would you recommend the blanket or comforter for their beds?

We live on the Northern California coast so our home doesn't get too cold even during winter. This would be used without a flat sheet. Thanks for your help!
