Everything is just right - a rich dark brown, soft but substantial leather, pull on style, sole thick but not so chunky to go out of style (same for the heel), shaft not too narrow, and a nicely rounded toe. Size seems to run correct; i wear 7 1/2 to 8…I ordered a 7 1/2, and they are roomy enough for a thick sock, but would also work with tights. I have a high instep, and the boots pull on fine. These are going to be very versatile, and I am very pleased with them.
