Rated 5 out of 5 by Kris11 from Black Estelle Velvet Shirtdress I bought the black velvet shirtdress. I bought a large and it fits great. I am 5’5” tall. The dress hits below my knees. The sleeves fit nice. It is comfortable on. Boots or sandals would be nice to wear with it.

Both worked, but I preferred the slimmer feel of the S. The silk in the fabric of this dress makes it luxurious and I can't wait to wear it this winter!

I have been looking for a velvet dress for ages and particularly in the shirtdress style. I am tall, 5'11' and 140lbs. Finding clothes that fit me are tricky, especially in the length of the sleeves. I ordered the medium in the nightshade and it fits me perfectly. The color is stunning! A subtle shade of purple and the quality is excellent. I intend to wear the dress for a wedding, dressing it up with jewelry, a long chiffon scarf and heels. Thank you!!!

Very simple design with metal shaping and good length. I am 5 ft 6 and this beaches just above my knee cap. It could easily be worn for a dressy occasion or with boots and tights for more casual and even as a lounging dress because it is very comfortable and feels wonderful!
