Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic Wardrobe Basic! I bought this as a last-minute decision, not certain it would work well on a curvy figure. not only was it like wearing pajamas, it was super flattering and perfect for travel. LOVE the dress!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A go to for almost any occasion It's beautifully made -- of course it is, it's Eileen Fisher. I have it in 4 colors and consider it part of my uniform. It's incredibly comfortable and flattering. When the rest of you were in sweats on Zoom, I was in this.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for anyone… This is a wonderful item in my wardrobe. Love ❤️ it so much, purchased in all 3 colors. V neck and 3/4 sleeves. Great for us aging ladies. Nice weight and fabric breathes. Wear it to church. Throw a long necklace, or just wear earrings and a scarf in your hair … it is just enough. Looked for this dress for the past two years. Purchased navy, dark green and black.

...does this dress run small and whst is the length of the Pm and pl dress...what size recommend??

I normally wear 10p in pants and a reg size 12 top
Asked by: Marjory
This dress is running true to size to slightly generous. The length in the PM is 35 1/8" and the L is 35 3/4". Please note that the garment measurements are available on the site under the item description under "Measurements".

Does this dress have in-seam pockets? (I hope it doesn't, just want to make sure.)

I just received the petite medium in this dress and it is a bit too snug all around, but I love the length. I am wondering if I should go up to a PL.

For most items in the EF line, I am a small or petite medium. I am 5'5" and weigh about 148-152 lbs. This is a snug dress. I love it and am thinking I'd wear it as a tunic, which is why I love the current length in the PM size. What do you suggest I do for size, exchange the PM for a PL or a small (or even a medium)?
Asked by: Jo in Michigan
The PM is 35 1/8 inches long and the PL is 35.75 inches long. We would not suggest to order a regular as it will most likely change the fit on the body in a different way.

I ordered a small because I'm a size 6/8, but my bust is a 36.5, should I have sized up?

Asked by: Zany
The dress in the S(8-10) has a chest of 36 1/2". While some reviewers advise that they find this dress to run more true to size than generous (Eileen Fisher is known to size somewhat generously), we don't think you would need to go up to the M(10-12) when usually a 6-8. It sounds like you ordered the right size.

According to True Fit, I should order an XS, but, it has a 38" "sweep" and my hips are 39".

I'm assuming "sweep" means width? If so, I should order a S to accommodate my hips but then the length will be too long and the bust too large. Since the hip and waist measurements are not included in the description, I need your help/advice on size. Thank you.
Asked by: Courteous
The sweep is the circumference of the bottom hem of the dress. According to our Size Chart, you should order size S(8-10).

How much larger is the Regular Small, and the Regular XS, than the Petite Small for this dress?

I ordered and received the Petite Small. Consistent with other reviewers' comments, the dress definitely runs smaller than most Eileen Fisher clothes, and I think it is perhaps a little too small for me in the bust and hips, especially if it shrinks at all, as rayon tends to do. I see that the measurements information indicates that the Regular XS is 1/2' larger in the bust than the PS, though there is no information provided at all about waist and hip measurements, just that it is longer and wider at the hem. The Regular S is 2" larger in the bust than the PS, which is a lot larger, and is even longer and wider at the hem. I am trying to figure out whether the Regular XS or Regular S might fit me better, or whether I am just between sizes in this dress. I do not normally wear Petites, but ordered this one because I wanted the shorter length and the length of the PS is perfect.

We do not typically have waist measurements and hip measurements for this type of cut. However, you can expect that the waist and hip will be equally larger per size up as the chest is (ex PM is 2" larger in the chest than PS, so the waist and hip will increase correspondingly). In this type of instance, we would recommend choosing between petite and regular sizing based on the length you desire, and if you are finding the dress too snug, going up one size. While 2" does seem like a significant difference in measurements, when considering the entire circumference of the garment, its not as much as it sounds. We hope this helps!
