EILEEN FISHER Seasonless Silk Comforter and Throw is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 247.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from I LIVE UNDER THESE THROWS Obsessed with these silk blankets. I got two of these amazing throws (in oyster and creamy white) and sleep naked under one or the other (depending on my bedding coloring at the time) every night. Every 3-6 months I machine wash & dry on delicate and they come out fresh as when they were new. I use Method liquid laundry soap. Important to wash this blanket on it's own (without any other clothing items) and then check the dryer every 10-15 minutes as the blanket will bunch into a ball. By un-bunching it every so often, there is no need to iron afterwords. I let it run in the dryer for around 45 minutes, then lay it out flat for another day to allow the interior silk fibers completely dry. Works like a charm -- no need to take chances with dry cleaners. I CAN'T IMAGINE SLEEPING WITHOUT THIS BLANKET NEXT TO MY SKIN -- COOL IN SUMMER, WARM IN WINTER. If you suffer from hot flashes this blanket solve overheating. WORTH EVERY PENNY!!!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fabulous three season comforter This is my second Eileen Fisher silk comforter. My first one is about 15 years old and is beginning to wear out, thanks to my dog jumping onto the bed. I have liked it so much I purchased a new one. It is the perfect weight for all seasons except summer. Although slightly heavier than down the silk breathes well, and the cover is lovely fabric.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful Sleep The comforter is beautiful, light and surprisingly very warm. The lightnes of the comforter was important to me. I initially thought of it as a seasonal comforter but it appears to be sufficient for the colder months as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A piece of Heaven I bought this a little over a month ago. I wanted something lighter weight than our Down comforter. This is perfect. So soft and silky, stays in place and the color is so lovely.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Everyone loves this quilt. I have two of these quilts, one a pass on from my daughter and one I bought myself in rosewater. I love these quilts which I alternate depending on,my mood. It’s true everyone loves them, including my cats who love to sleep on them. I use them as soon as the weather gets cool and they are surprisingly warm over a single EF blanket ( we keep the bedroom quite cool at night). Best of all they are machine washable, if you use a gentle cool cycle, and machine dryable, ditto. I dry with dryer balls, which helps with wrinkling, and then iron at silk temp setting. If you dry clean there will be heaps of wrinkles which spoils the look. The good news is you can iron those out but it’s more effort. Cleaning and gently ironing once a season seems reasonable to me to retain the lovely look of the newly purchased product. The quilts are durable too - my daughter’s is a very early purchase, it is on our bed now and looks as good as new. So, expensive but something you can count on enjoying for a long time.

Will the king size comforter cover a deep mattress on both sides. I want to use as the comforter with a garnet hill birch quilt at the end of the bed. Will the Eileen Fisher soft white or the bone quilts look better with the birch quilt?

Asked by: SherilynR
To determine how much coverage you will need, begin by measuring the surface of your mattress. A queen size mattress has a 60" surface. A queen size comforter is generally 90" wide. Deduct the mattress surface measurement from the width of the comforter and divide by two. In this example, the calculation is 90" (width of comforter) - 60" (mattress surface) = 30 inches divided by two (2 sides of the bed) = 15. You now know that the comforter will hang 15" on each side of the bed.

What is the difference in warmth between the Seasonless Silk Comforter, and your new Silk Quilt? Do they each have loops to tie in a comforter cover?

Asked by: jhonpt
While similar in warmth, the Eileen Fisher Seasonless Silk Comforter is slightly lighter in weight than our Mirage Washable Silk Quilt.

The picture of the mocha sham shows piping around the edges. The other shams show the overlap in material. Does the mocha sham have piped edge?

Asked by: KrisM
The color mocha does not have a piped edge. It appears the light cast a shadow giving the appearance of piping.

The color “soft white” looks abut like a soft bone shade.  Is it?  Or is it a true white shade?  Thanks you.

Asked by: Dejavu
The color soft white is a true white but can appear slightly off white in some lighting.
