Eco Merino Vented Turtleneck Sweater is rated 3.0 out of 5 by 3.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Lots of compliments I was very happy with this top and the color "Portobella" is beautiful. I deducted one star because it's short waisted on me, and I can't do anything about it since it has a built in casing for the sash in the back. I still wear it and love how soft it is.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from quality, but thin This merino sweater is good-quality merino wool but is very sheer. It runs large, and the oversizing helps with the transparency issues, but it probably needs a layer underneath (I personally don't like to have to do that unless it adds to the look or unless it is very very cold, in which case I would just choose the wonderful oversize turtlenecks by GH that are warmer and more substantial). The other factor here is that I called and was told by a representative that the "cinch" was a reference to the option of tying the belt and that their were loops I could cut off it I didn't like the belt (in the picture shown of the color black, loops are apparent). Actually, though there are no exterior loops, but an inside "pocket " loop in the back of the sweater. The way it is manufactured actually works better if you don't want to use the belt.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from This Is So Sheer It Is See-Through! I, too, asked about the "ruching" at the back of this garment. There is no ruching; there are two slits for the self-belt to enter and exit. Fine merino is one way to express transparent merino. It cannot be worn without another garment--at least a camisole--beneath it because of its transparency. While it is "well-made," my comments make it an odd garment.

What does “cinched” back waist mean?  Elastic?  Can you wear it without the tir?

Asked by: Nanadot
It has a back waist tunnel for 1" wide self-tie belt. The belt can be removed.
