Normally, I’m a large in most things from Garnet Hill, but was afraid this would be snug so I also ordered an XL. The material has a lovely feel, but was surprisingly heavy. As I feared, the large was snug in all the wrong places, my hips and thighs. The top was fine. The XL, on the other hand, was so gigantic that I felt like a clown in it. I also have to say that the neckline was weird, not laying as expected. I’m sorry to say, I’ll be returning both. I really wanted to love this dress. Very disappointed. Probably great for someone else.

The fit is perfect, and the cut is quite miraculous: skims and shows my figure without being clingy in the front or the rear. (I wonder if the previous reviewer who thought it was too baggy needed to size down.) The fabric could be slightly heavier for my taste, but it drapes well and isn't clingy. I am returning (SADLY!) because something is off about the neckline. It doesn't hang correctly/smoothly on me- there's always like a fold/crease in the front below the neck. I am a 32D, maybe that's too "large" for this dress to hang correctly? I can't figure it out. Wish it was just a scoop neck! I am also not a fan of the seems that ran along the outside of the arms.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Jan262 from Fit is weird I was excited to see the rich teal color and the fabric is of nice quality. Unfortunately, the fit is NOT as pictured. They must have pinned the garment for photos in order to show some curves. The mid-section is quite baggy and the dress looked dowdy, for lack of a better word. I am 5'6", 135 lbs and ordered the small. Have to return this one.
