The rug is a little less than a ¼" thick and shouldn't interfere with the door opening/closing.

Just beautiful!
I've been waiting a while to buy a runner and a 2x3 for my kitchen. I've been waiting because they are pretty expensive but definitely worth the wait! I bought the black and they look incredible. They are also thicker than I thought. Highly recommended!
