Better than the short version
This fits like a dress that is more fitted on top. I’m 5’5”, 170 apple shaped 36D. I ordered the medium, which looks good even without a bra because of the snugness on top. I agree it is not for really hot daytime weather but would be great for evening especially at the shore.

Very nice
Beautiful piece that I'll be wearing as a dress, not a beach coverup. It's two layers of fabric are not see-through and it drapes beautifully (even though my waist is not super thin, this flatters me). I liked the black so much I ordered it in purple too, and that one also looks great. Im very happy with this piece.

Beautiful dress
I'm 5'5", 170 lbs, 36DD, I ordered large. A little snug over breasts, but it works. The purple is a beautiful shade. Length is good; not too long so works with flat sandals. Washing was a bit of a chore to maintain "wrinkles" but it worked. With lining, fabric is quite substantial and works beautifully as a dress.

Cute dress!
I usually am between a 10 and 12 in a dress and the medium fits well. I bought this in black, and will be using it as a dress instead of a coverup. It is heavier, so not for a really hot day.

Since no one at Garnett seems to know how the 52" length is measured, can anyone who has this dress help me? I am 5'5", usually a size 4 and wonder if I should order the regular XS or the PS for the proper length. I want to avoid hemming it. Thank you!

Do you have picture of the back of this dress?
The back is high-cut.. much higher than the front. I have several colors and sizes (PL, M, PM & L) and my sister borrowed one for a trip to Morocco and reversed it to wear beneath a duster. It looked great w/ a necklace & modest and the lining and shell are so stretchy they launder great and can be resized/blocked when wet.. I plan to wear mine reversed when needed as it is cut a bit low at the neck for some occasions. Love the versatility! Never thought of it!
