Although it is well made, I hadn't realized it is such a large fiber and therefore very susceptible to cat scratch damage! We are struggling a little to figure out how to protect our beautiful new rug from our beloved kitty, who has multiple cat scratchers but seems to like stretching and hooking her front claws into the rug!

The Company C Jaipur Garden Hooked Wool Rug looks perfect with its unusual colors in a traditional pattern. It unrolled well from the packing and within 2 days fit flat on the floor. It perfectly coordinates with the artwork hanging on the walls, also. Everyone who has seen it has commented that it was just beautiful! The hooked wool is very sturdy--good enough to withstand my four grandchildren.
