Having tried both, this pair seems slimmer in that area, and more natural. It seems GH listened to their customers! This pair is also a harder, thicker fabric, great for cooler seasons. I also noticed the size 8s I purchased in the old style, match the size 10s in this new style exactly, which is my normal size at GH and almost everywhere else. I would call these true to size.

Rated 2 out of 5 by mommajenn from Those '70s pants... These pants reminded me of some my grandmother wore in the '70s--and not in a cool way. The fabric, cut, and elasticized waist gave them a frumpy look. Maybe because of the rather thick fabric, the seams were kind of lumpy, too. These went back.
