Cashmere Braid-Detail Sweater is rated 2.6 out of 5 by 5.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Beautiful color, cozy, and soft I just received my new light blue sweater, and it is gorgeous; a lovely soft cashmere, with a relaxed fit that is very pretty. I ordered a Small, and it is a bit big with very deep dolman sleeves way and the boatneck allows my racer back bra straps show. My white bra shows very slightly through the cashmere but the drape of the sweater will hide that. I may exchange for an XS but I definitely love this sweater. Thank you for continuing to stock high quality garments. Garnet Hill is always, always my number one stop for cashmere.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Disappointingly unflattering design I was so excited to splurge on what I thought was gong to be my go-to black sweater and a cool-weather wardrobe staple. How disappointed I was to discover how oddly proportioned and unflattering it was. I was seeking and expecting a boxy fit, but the proportions in this design just didn’t work: the sweater just hung in a shapeless mass, largely due to the over-the-top bagginess in the cut of the drop-shoulder sleeve. There was consequently too much volume across the top 2/3 of this piece, and the short length just didn’t balance it, so I couldn’t get it to hang in any remotely flattering way. I’ve never had this issue with a Garnet Hill sweater before, and I’ve owned many, including several of their boxy cuts, which I seek out since they flatter and balance my bottom-heavy shape. For reference, I’m slightly pear-shaped, 5’4”, and 125 lbs. and I ordered this in an XS. I’m giving 3 stars for the beautifully crafted braid accents, the softness of the cashmere, and the nice heft of its tight medium weave. If only it had come together in a more flattering design, but this one was definitely not a keeper for me.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Bad sizing I bought a medium blue a month ago snd tried it on last week. It’s huge and I’m a normal 8-10. Not sure I’ll ever wear it. So disappointed. Threw away packaging so a hassle to return.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Wrong shape I bought this sweater because of the color and material. However, it went back due to cut. It is shaped like a box- square. It could have fit at least 3 of me in it and I bought the smallest size

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointingly unflattering design . . . skip! I would like to reiterate another Review, which title I copied, above. Insert 5'4", 110 lbs . . (thus the lack of fit or flatering-ness is not due to the size of the woman.) For me, too, the sweater is by far too short for it's width at the hips - mine are quite narrow. I am sad this lovely cashmere fabric, the interesting braid detailing, and a luscious color (Caprese Red - please do more of this!) don't add up to a wearable/live-in sweater . . . should I tear it apart & sew a scarf such that I can preserve the aspects that work? But, no, it is supposed to be a sweater. Dear Garnet Hill: Please LET US KNOW if you are selling a product which is destined to be returned - (you are sold out of NO colors of this sweater, in any size, that is telling...) Save us the heartache of a purchase which will FEEL so lovely, but look like a 2nd hand store misfit. And be so loose at the bottom edge, the chill of Winter is welcomed in to our lower backs. Apologies, but honest is negative. (TIP: More colorful turtle neck/cowls/shawls that fit close to our faces, that fit close to our faces - the cashmere/COLOR IS SO FLATTERING!)

The photo of the peached coral in the cashmere braid detail sweater is a soft pink, but in all other sweaters, it's shown as an earthy rust tone. Did this one sweater use the same color description for a very different color? Or is the photo wrong?
