Rated 2 out of 5 by FortFlaneuse from A sad disappointment I truly wanted to like this duvet cover (and the sham, which I also purchased). Sadly, I am returning both of them. The light blue color is lovely, & the crochet detail very acceptable. Every other detail, however, was a wide miss. The cotton material is quite thin, & as another reviewer noted, terribly prone to wrinkle & stay wrinkled. Unless you own a mangle iron, or professional grade steam press, be prepared to send this duvet cover out for pressing. The "button closure" is very poorly done; had I kept the duvet cover I would have had to have a seamstress re-do it. (Big gaps, & the fold over wouldn't stay closed.) The detailing along the edge is cheap; very lightly sewn with thin thread. And somehow, worst of all, is the sizing. Because the description states a 2 inches decrease to measurements, I was looking forward to the "puffed up" look I prefer. But in actuality, the cover is so large it could likely fit a double size duvet. (I checked the label; it does say twin.) I have to comment that my old duvet cover ($35 Ikea) was a much better product in every way, excepting the crochet edging. I certainly hope Garnet Hill will offer an improved version of this duvet cover. For now, back it goes.
