Asymmetrical Boiled Wool Coat - Regular is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 1074.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Travel Coat I loved it so much I purchased a second, in navy, after flying to the Christmas markets in 3 countries with the charcoal gray. It is a great coat on the plane because you can use it as a blanket to snuggle under, or as a coat to wrap up in. On the ground it's the perfect weight to wear without layers on cool days, or layer up with a base layer and any weight of sweater you need for the weather. Truthfully I probably didn't even need the down coat I packed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Makes me happy I have had my eye on this coat for two years and finally decided I was worth the splurge. This coat makes me smile. Every time I wear it, I receive compliments....even from strangers! It can make the simplest outfit, like jeans and a white tee, look classy. Lining the sleeves was a good move by the makers. I am very happy with this purchase and highly recommend!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this coat I like that this coat is not heavy as our Texas winters are not that cold. It is really warm though. The wool is lightweight but will definitely keep you warm.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this coat! I have had this coat in black for so many years, I decided it needed a refresh. Bough the same style in grey and love it just as much. I hope GH never discontinues this style.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fits well I got a size ten and am 5'8" tall and the arm length is very good. I always get comments when I wear it. It's surprisingly warm for a lightweight jacket. I would consider buying another one a brighter color (I bought grey).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful and elegant coat! Bought this coat because I really needed something in navy nd didn’t expect to love it as much as I do. It fits perfectly and is well made. The drape and style looks good with jeans or dresses and I’m constantly changing what I’m wearing just so that I can wear this jacket! It looks good open and draped or fastened with the clip

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great look I bought this coat about a month ago, after having my eye on it for a couple of years. The wool is lightweight, but nevertheless, it is warm enough on a balmy day. I really like the stylish design, and how it looks whenever I wear it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it! Purchased this coat before Christmas during a sale. I am 5'3" and bought a size 14P in Graphite. I love the color and it fits perfectly, sleeve length and overall length are excellent. I live in the Midwest so it's not the coat for January/February temperatures but will be perfect in late March, early April. Highly recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful color! I bought the gray color and loved it the moment I put it on, drapes in a flattering way, ordered my size, but had to size down, because it was a little big, probably due to the draping design

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warm and stylish After reading the MANY positive comments about this coat AND seeing it came in Petite sizes I knew I had to order it. Thank goodness I did! As a 4P I was worried it would be too long but no.. perfect fit, sleeves and all! So light like a sweater but so warm. I got the grey with whip stitching and love the detail of that. Lined sleeves are so comfortable with anything I wear. And the detail of clasp and asymmetric hem is a nice feature. Thanks GH for providing us petites some wonderful choices. Getting it on sale was a bonus!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great style and warm I admired this coat for about a year and in the middle of summer it went on sale so I jumped at it. Very warm and comfortable with great style. People compliment me on the pewter closure, which adds a nice touch. Goes with all my Garnet Hill clothes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just ordered again...cat got to original! I bought this coat last year in gray and wore it almost everyday. I live in the Atlanta area and it works for our crazy weather. I have a cat that chews things and she got hold of it somehow. My heart was broken, but was so happy to see it on sale. Ordered two -- merlot and gray with trim!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warm, Cozy and very stylish Like so many of the other reviewers stated, I just love this coat, and have already received so many compliments on it. Seriously considering another one in a different color...and I’ve sent the link to my sister who was ominously hovering over my coat at Christmas. I believe she would like one of her own. Love it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it! After reading all the reviews, plus knowing the quality of Garnet Hill clothing, I jumped in and purchased this jacket. And I love LOVE it! I ordered a size up (16) based on reviews and expected it to look like a tent on me—but the drape is beautiful and the sleeves are narrow which create a slimming effect. Plenty of room for a sweater underneath. I ordered the navy and it is a true navy. Pockets are at a natural position. It does feel rather lightweight, but being wool I actually had to take it off indoors bc I was too warm. I like it so much I now understand why some people order it in different colors.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good features I bought it so I would have something that could go nicely over sweaters that come below the hip, and it works well for that and just qbout anything else. I love fastener and the color!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great look! I've had this coat for about three weeks, and have received many compliments on it. I bought in the gray with contrast stitching, which, in my opinion, adds interest.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful, Stylish Coat I have had this coat for a month and get compliments every time I wear it. It is warm, very stylish and comfortable. I purchased the black marl with whipstitching on the edge so it has a more casual look. Looks great with bluejeans or can dress it up a bit with black pants. I have worn it when the weather has dipped into the upper 40's but will not consider wearing it once it gets really cold and windy. I purchased my usual size S which fits very nicely as long as I do not wear a thick sweater under it. The arms are rather fitted. If you plan to wear layers, I would order the next size up. I am 5'5" and weight 128 pounds.

Question from Minnesota: how much lining is "lined?" Is this a "fall jacket" or a "winter coat?" Thanks!

Asked by: Tootee
I live in Minnesota and have this coat. It is a fall jacket, NOTa Minnesota winter coat. The only lining is in the sleeves.

Bought this in red, years ago. Size 12 based on your charts, and "True Fit".  Coat sleeves 2-3 inches too long, coat was HUGE.  I've lost 20 pounds. Your size chart and "TRUE FIT" say size 10, but my experience says size 8. Coat size still running huge?

What is the diameter of the size 6 coat sleeves compared to those of the size 8? I think the 6 would fit me better but I worried the sleeves might be too tight.

Asked by: Cbradley
There is approximately a one inch difference in the size 6 and 8.

The photos all show women with shirts that cover their necks (i.e., turtle and mock necks, and collared). Does anyone have any feelings on how this looks with a crew neck or similar? I'm not worried about itch, just interpretation on neatness / looks.

Asked by: greenlegsandsam
This coat looks classy and neat with any type of top (crew neck, ballet neck etc.). For chillier temps, we like a scarf added to this coat to complete the look.
