Question from Minnesota: how much lining is "lined?" Is this a "fall jacket" or a "winter coat?" Thanks!

Asked by: Tootee
I live in Minnesota and have this coat. It is a fall jacket, NOTa Minnesota winter coat. The only lining is in the sleeves.

Bought this in red, years ago. Size 12 based on your charts, and "True Fit".  Coat sleeves 2-3 inches too long, coat was HUGE.  I've lost 20 pounds. Your size chart and "TRUE FIT" say size 10, but my experience says size 8. Coat size still running huge?

Asked by: S Conrad
Please click the "Fit & Garment Measurements" tab for this item on our website. This has the actual measurements for the coat and can assist you in choosing the right size.

What is the diameter of the size 6 coat sleeves compared to those of the size 8? I think the 6 would fit me better but I worried the sleeves might be too tight.

Asked by: Cbradley
There is approximately a one inch difference in the size 6 and 8.

The photos all show women with shirts that cover their necks (i.e., turtle and mock necks, and collared). Does anyone have any feelings on how this looks with a crew neck or similar? I'm not worried about itch, just interpretation on neatness / looks.

Asked by: greenlegsandsam
This coat looks classy and neat with any type of top (crew neck, ballet neck etc.). For chillier temps, we like a scarf added to this coat to complete the look.

Is the boiled wool itchy?

Asked by: ccav
The boiled wool is very soft. It does not have that itchy feel one experiences with wool.

Asymmetrical Boiled-Wool Coat is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 1354.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bring on the cool After buying this coat for my daughter, I was not quite settled, so I got one for me too. I bought “a larger size” so that it would be very loose. I also altered the hem-line. That’s super easy as it is boiled wool. It is a lovely coat

Rated 5 out of 5 by from AWESOME COAT! I have two other coats I purchased 7 and 5 years ago, respectively. I have had my eye on the blue/green color for quite some time. Glad I finally purchased it! I LOVE these coats. Great for not super cold weather (best between 35 and 55 degrees in my opinion). Great to travel with and even bring on a plane. Comfortable. I receive so many compliments when I wear one. Highly recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fun Fall Coat I found this to be a fun coat to wear in the fall or on warmer winter days. It’s light weight so it doesn’t weigh you down and is not too hot when inside shopping.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this Jacket! I have had this jacket for over a decade and with only a few exceptions, had to send it back to be replaced as the buckle started to pull from the felt. I get compliments on this jacket every time I wear it. I was very fashionable on a trip to Paris wearing this jacket and still got a lot of compliments. I came back to buy another color, but already have the blue and no others are in my size. I need to check earlier next season!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cozy warm and kind of glamorous My favorite coat in the world was the orange/rust version of this coat. Since they don't make in that shade anymore, I opted for the gray with is also very lovely with the contrasting stitching. When I put this on, I feel cozy warm and kind of glamorous.
