Just what I wanted
For those who dislike synthetic fill, this mattress pad really is all cotton, fill included. The sheeting is fine, soft cotton. The sides are large enough for easily yet snugly covering my 16" mattress.

Perfection
I bought my second of these mattress covers for the household about three months ago; have had this product on our beds for over a year. Planning on adding two more for the guest beds. They are the most quality mattress pads I have come across. They fit a HUGE mattress, wash and come out of the dryer like brand new. I found this pad because I needed my mattresses to be as cool as possible in our Oklahoma heat. I also am a stickler for 100% cotton in as many things near my skin as is feasible. I love this mattress pad. Buy one. Or four.

Absolute Perfection
All cotton, up-down-and-all around. did not shrink when laundered, fits like a bespoke mattress pad. Pricey when paying for item, S&H and taxes, but I am pleased and would recommend it.

Is the mattress pad water resistant?
This 100% cotton mattress pad is not water resistant. For a waterproof mattress pad, we suggest our Waterproof Mattress Pad, Item #7473.

Why is it recommended not to bleach cotton percale sheets & cotton bed pads? I am purchasing all white & I've always used bleach. Other than the elastic banding wearing out sooner what's the reason for no bleach?
Over time bleach can break down our natural fabrics fabrics and shorten their life span. The recommendation from our vendor is: Machine wash cold, gentle cycle; do not bleach; tumble dry low, remove promptly. Recommend front loading commercial washer/dryer.
