The fabric is smooth and feels thick enough to be strong but light enough to not weigh down the duvet. The corner ties on the inside are great to have to keep the duvet in place. I've only had it a month so can't speak to the long-term durability, but I am very pleased with how it looks. The colors are so vibrant and easily matched my room; I really like the crisp white background. I purchased a flannel quilt and shams from GH to match and then had to update my table lamps as well. It's been a welcome update to our room.
