Rated 5 out of 5 by these are soft puppies always looking for cashmere socks that don't cost an arm and a leg! Special sale, YAY. Love these. December 5, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Life changing socks!! Really I feel a bit awkward about how much I love these socks-they have literally changed my life! I am always cold-my feet have always been little blocks of ice until I started wearing these socks! They are sooo warm and sooo soft that I feel a little sad for all the other socks in my sock drawer that never get worn anymore. My feet are finally warm with these socks! I wash and dry with no special care and they have held up exceptionally well. So happy I bought these! December 2, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by great winter socks I had purchased several pairs of these cashmere blend socks within the past 1-2 years. They held up fairly well, with a bit of thinning of the wool in the heel area. I purchased more this year, because I had missed out on getting the navy color. The socks seem a bit thicker this year; I have worn the navy twice and they came out perfectly in the wash. They seem to be thicker this year, which I like -- but time will tell. Even if they do thin out, they still remain warm. The only thing I've noticed is that with the crew length sock, the elastic wears out and you get a slouched ankle sock -- OK for casual wear, but I also wear these to work, and in a hospital, that slouched look is sloppy. They are well worth the cost, even if they only last 3 or4 seasons. But if they were improved upon (heel thickness and elastic) they could last much longer! I'd highly recommend them for anyone living in an area that goes below 35-degrees and stays there for months! Price is good with the 'buy 5, get 6' offer that is a continuous offer. November 6, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Love! These socks are scrumptious! I splurged on a pair for myself with the idea of testing whether they might be a suitable gift for my Mom (see what I did there?). They are. So glad I have my own pair - now I just have to decide the color and style for my Mom! November 5, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Perfect for sleep in winter I bought some for myself and two other friends; I like them for sleeping in the winter. They breathe well and don't cut into legs or toes so are perfect to keep tootsies warm thru the night. Great variety of colors. October 26, 2016

I recently ordered 3 more pairs of cashmere socks and hope the problems I exerienced in 2011 and early 2012 -- threadbare heels and bottoms; holes near toes -- which reviewers also voiced, have been solved. These socks are warm, luxurious and lovely, but I want them to last longer than 2-3 months! Thank you.

Answer:
My advice would be this: If you want durability, buy socks in a wool/nylon blend. Cashmere is a luxury fabric, like silk, and is not known for its durability, just its soft hand. Treat them gently.

Answer:
These socks have been blended with more nylon for durability. They have been reinforced at the sole, toe and heel.

Answer:
I'm following up to my own question because I've worn the cashmere knee-highs daily in cold countries for ~ 6 weeks. The socks -- denim, wheat and charcoal -- are in near-perfect shape, so reinforcements seem successful in toe and heel areas. I've been unusually hard on these socks, but none have holes, thin areas or are threadbare. I'm so confident in improved quality that I ordered 4 more pairs today. Thanks!
