Women's Cashmere Ankle Socks 4.4 5 172 172
WORLD'S GREATEST SOCKS! I love these cashmere socks. They are the softest socks anywhere on this planet. They are warm, functional, they wear very well, they lauder & dry very well. They are the best. April 1, 2014
GREAT socks These are so soft, and they didn't shrink in the laundry (unlike some I've bought). Worth the splurge -- soft & warm. March 31, 2014
cashmere socks Unfortunately the heels wear out too fast. You say that they are reinforced but. These are the warmest socks and they stay up all day! Love March 25, 2014
Don't waste your money! I purchased these on sale last year (the knee sock version) for cold winter days. They were great for the first season (worn maybe once per week for about 5 months and air-dried), but by about a month into this season, the heels and soles of the feet are almost threadbare. NOT what I would expect for quality cashmere at those prices. And it's not like I walk around barefoot in them or am hard on them. They pretty much just get worn during an 8-hour work day. I had purchased another pair at the beginning of this season on sale before my original pair went "bald". Very sad. February 18, 2014
warm and fuzzy! these are the best socks for keeping warm in this awful winter. they are lightweight and not bulky. February 10, 2014
Favorite socks I love these socks! They are warm and stay in place(no sagging down around the ankles). My only complaint is the cost but you can usually get them on sale. February 5, 2014

I recently ordered 3 more pairs of cashmere socks and hope the problems I exerienced in 2011 and early 2012 -- threadbare heels and bottoms; holes near toes -- which reviewers also voiced, have been solved. These socks are warm, luxurious and lovely, but I want them to last longer than 2-3 months! Thank you.

Answer:
My advice would be this: If you want durability, buy socks in a wool/nylon blend. Cashmere is a luxury fabric, like silk, and is not known for its durability, just its soft hand. Treat them gently.

Answer:
I'm following up to my own question because I've worn the cashmere knee-highs daily in cold countries for ~ 6 weeks. The socks -- denim, wheat and charcoal -- are in near-perfect shape, so reinforcements seem successful in toe and heel areas. I've been unusually hard on these socks, but none have holes, thin areas or are threadbare. I'm so confident in improved quality that I ordered 4 more pairs today. Thanks!

Answer:
These socks have been blended with more nylon for durability. They have been reinforced at the sole, toe and heel.
