a beautiful and comfortable shirt
I love this shirt as it is comfortable and beautiful. I like the crisscross detail as it gives an illusion of a fuller chest. Recommended for those with straight figures with not much curve.

very pretty but do order up a size
Velvet's clothes seem to all be very thin and form-fitting, and this top is definitely no exception. I heeded the advice of other reviewers and ordered up to a M. (In GH, I order XS tops; in Velvet, S.) I'm glad I did, as the M fits perfectly, which is to say yes, it hugs my body very closely. The fit is a smooth, sleek one which like others have said isn't good if you have much on your top half you want to hide.
I'm pear-shaped and tend to wear loose-fitting skirts, and a top like this pairs perfectly with them while at the same time accentuating my smaller upper half. I ordered two of these - one in black and one in bright pink. If the price comes down some more (because even the sale price is pushing it as far as value is concerned), I would seriously consider ordering another color or two.

Sized wrong
I ordered this in a large, and other tops by Velvet fit me perfect in large. This one was way to tight and the fabric is too thin. I am returning.

Recommend with caveats
This top definitely isn't for everyone. It is nicely made in a soft fabric. As has been noted, it is a very close fit. The XS fits me (a 32C, 112 lbs, 5'5"). I haven't made up my mind if I like the criss-cross design and gathers.

Thin, clingy fabric
This just didn't work for me - as other reviewers suggested I ordered a size up but still the cling and very thin fabric just weren't flattering unless you want to show every curve, bump or rib. For the price I wasn't excited about the fit or color. I returned it.
