I purchased this watch for myself about a year ago...I don't wear it everyday, and when I do it's pretty light wear. I was wearing the watch at work one day and the plastic cover over the face suddenly fell off! Then the second hand broke (it really is a pretty delicate second hand). I loved the look of the watch, but feel it should last longer than a year. I hadn't even needed to replace the battery yet! I'm disappointed.

Ordered the grey. Planning on ordering the blue. It's a perfect watch. Price not bad. If you're thinking about thinking about getting it- think no further- get it- you will love it. I did drop it and the face scratched but not to noticeable.

Attractive but large and bulky

I loved the plum color and the attractiveness of the style, it goes well with work and casual wear. I am disappointed in the bulky weight and size of the face. I realize the description mentions the large face but I was not prepared for the weighty feel and the overall awkwardness of actually wearing it. I'm happy to remove it by the end of the day. I hope that as I wear it it becomes less cumbersome and more comfortable.

A Welcome Brings Back My Youth Standby Wach

Wearing this watch brings back my Saturday mornings in college, high school and younger, riding around on my blue and white Schwinn bicycle before bikes became so sophisticated and technical. I collect antique and vintage watches, but some nowadays are just more fuss than is practical for everyday use. So I am not above discerning retro, although it must truly evoke genuine feelings of a bygone era. This does it all, complete with the luminescent dials for nighttime or dark. Simple to use, comfortable, attractive, and the blue band goes with my long-ago blue bike. The only problem I have is confining myself to limited purchases, especially on sale.
It also is a great watch for an older person who has problems clearly seeing the numbers. They're large and distinctive, and of course, help in the dark. My recently deceased mother looked high and low for one, and I suggested the Tokyo Bay one to my sister-in-law, who was in charge of Mom's "Watch Project." No, my SIL wanted a somewhat more sophisticated design. which Mom turned out not to like. Once my SIL saw my Garnet Hill Tokyo Bay selections, she just shook her head disgustedly and wondered why she hadn't had the good sense to get one for Mom.
On a totally different note, the minute hand can be a little hard to adjust, as it tends to "jump" erratically when trying to get it to a precise point. And it would be good if the band had another hole for my smaller wrist, but an ice pick takes care of that.
I love many of the Tokyo Bay watches, especially many of those made especially for Garnet Hill. This is becoming a habit I may need to tame, as I both have and have my eye on some others.

I opened the box, saw this watch and said "Come to Mama!!" This watch is the perfect size for me, I love the color of the band, the perforated leather is so cool, and the face is round and beautiful-- yeah baby!!

I bought this watch in eggplant and I love it.. It's really a neutral and goes with everything. It's not a watch I would wear if I'm dressing
up, but for every day, it's perfect.Very stylish, and I got it on sale so it was a super value, like all of Garnet Hill's sales.

I have the same issue, and was delighted to find that this watch comes with lots of holes already punched into the strap. If your wrist is even smaller than mine, you (or a jeweler) could use a leather punch/awl or dremel to add holes, I imagine.Age: 35-44
