Over the years, Garnet Hill has proudly given over $1 million in monetary donations, goods and services to charities in our local community and nationwide. We believe in giving back, and every time you shop with us, you champion that spirit. Here are some recent projects that are dear to our hearts.
Give. To help them live.
The St.Jude Thanks and Giving® campaign is an unprecedented union of celebrity, media, retail, and corporate partners committed to helping find cures and save children. St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital® is the nation’s leading pediatric research and treatment center devoted solely to children with cancer and other deadly diseases. No family ever pays St. Jude for anything. St. Jude covers all costs for treatment, travel, food and lodging for patients and a family member.

Passing On the Gift®

Hilton Humanitarian Prize, the world’s largest humanitarian award, the organization focuses it efforts on training farmers to use sustainable farming practices and encouraging recipients of donated livestock to give an animal’s offspring to others in need — what Heifer coins Passing on the Gift®. Garnet Hill is proud to help “pass on the gift” and help put an end to hunger in the world by partnering with the compassionate efforts of this award-winning organization.

Relay for Life
The American Cancer Society Relay For Life gives communities across the globe a fun and uplifting way to celebrate the lives of people who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost, and fight back against the disease. At the Relay, teams camp out and take turns walking or running around a track — often set to the backdrop of a funny theme. In between laps, participants enjoy activities and food, as well as moving moments of remembrance.
Since 2008, Team Garnet Hill has participated in the Relay and hosted company-wide fund-raising events throughout the year. We’re proud to be a part of this inspirational event and invite you to learn more about relays in your area at relayforlife.org.
CCF Community Charity Fund of Garnet Hill
The Community Charity Fund of Garnet Hill (CCF) was created in 1992 by a group of Garnet Hill employees seeking a way to help other employees and community members in need. The committee is dedicated to aiding local, approved, nonprofit organizations and individuals in the communities in which Garnet Hill employees reside. It has expanded over the years in its fund-raising efforts (auctions, raffles, bake sales), involvement with local charities anddevelopment as a resource to employees and local families during times of crisis (such as house fires, injuries and illnesses). CCF is a great way for Garnet Hill employees to get involved and support one another and the community in which they live.
Keeping It Local
For our Annual Community Service Day, over 100 Garnet Hill employees turned out in force — rakes, shovels, hammers, paintbrushes and work gloves in hand. Plans are under way for our next Community Service Day, when we will again help open up our neighboring Copper Cannon Camp for the season.
