4 Steps to a Party-Worthy Patio, Deck,
or Porch

Spring Patio Prep

Okay, we’ll admit it. Living in Northern New Hampshire, we’ve spent the last couple of months wondering if spring will ever get here. Thankfully, all signs point to Yes! And you know what that means — time to prep the patio, porch, and deck! Here are four easy ways to spruce up your outdoor entertaining space.

  1. Look at the space as a blank canvas. Regardless of what kind of patio, porch, or deck you have, it begs for interesting lines, shapes, and color. To amplify the greenery in a garden space, we recommend the natural beauty of a wreath (way too good a design element to use only in the winter).
  2. Obsess over comfort. Think of how guests and family will use the space and indulge in some creature comforts. The right seating, places to set a drink, plenty of indoor-outdoor pillows, the ultimate place to kick back and read a book or nap.
  3. For added design punch, focus on the floor. Durable indoor-outdoor rugs with graphic lines and playful motifs don’t just paint the ground with color; they make a bold statement and can unify any seating, living, or eating area.
  4. Define your color story. Mix, match, and contrast. Coordinate rugs and pillows with serveware and table linens. One gem we’re especially excited about this year is our Summertime Placemats. Pop goes the color! And polypropylene allows you to leave them poolside without a care in the world.
