Starlet Knit Dress 4.6 5 625 625
I love this dress! I have 3 of these dresses. The reason I love it is because the pocket placement is very slimming and the waist line is in the perfect spot. Sometimes the empire waist just makes me look pregnant, but this is in the right spot for a great look. This dress can be worn very casual or dress it up. I missed the sale dress this season, but I will buy another one next year. August 22, 2014
Cute summer dress. This is super comfortable dress, and I love the pockets. (Probably shouldn't, but oh well.) It is a little on the loose side - I'm not particularly slim, so that works for me, but I can see where others might find it to be too baggy. August 22, 2014
AWESOME anywhere, anytime dress I bought this dress for a vacation and it is amazing. I threw it in a backpack with a pair of flip flops, a pair of dressier shoes, a cardigan, and some jewelry. I wore it all the time! It was pretty casual or dressed up, I pulled it right out of the backpack and wore it -- no wrinkles! I am 5'2" and 120 lbs and it was incredibly flattering in a size XS. LOVE the pockets, LOVE the neckline, not clingy - Pure awesome. Going to buy a few every year in different colors and patterns. LOVE IT! Such a deal!! August 22, 2014
Great little dress I reach for this dress often during warm weather. So cute and can be dressed up or down. August 21, 2014
The waist is a bit of an empire waist. Then there is a bit of gathering. Wound up looking like I was pregnant or trying to hide a big tummy. Not flattering. Will be returning it. July 19, 2014
Simply flattering I've bought this dress in 3 different prints/colors. The fabric is soft, comfortable and washes well. It's a dress that can easily be dressed up or down. Most importantly the cut is very flattering -- a staple of my summer wardrobe. July 17, 2014

Answer:
I'm a long torso in swim suits - not sure if that's the same as long waisted. The dress crosses high enough to fully cover. I'm only a B cup - but still understand the concern, as I have some crossover tops that I regret buying, because they don't cover, meaning they don't work for most occasions. This dress doesn't have those issues. Fits well, great fabric.

Many of the colors of the Ruched Cashmere Cardigan, item #26048, coordinate very nicely with the different colors of this dress.

Any of the Merino sweaters will look great! GH is awesome about making bright neutrals. Try the purple or hot pink and you will glow. :)

Answer:
I bought this dress in the XS and the bottom was too tight. So, I returned it for a S and the top was too big. It doesn't seem to be well proportioned, so it would depend upon your figure. If you carry weight on the bottom half it might not fit well. It's a very nice dress, just didn't work for me.

Here are some measurements for the neck depth. Please note that these can vary slightly:

Front Neck Depth – to top edge: XS – 5 7/8”; S – 6”; M – 6 1/8; L – 6 ¼”; XL 6 3/8”

Back Neck Depth – to top edge: All sizes – 6”

These measurements are taken from the center point of the neckline, front and back, to the top edge of the garment, front and back.
