returned
Colors were more yellow and green than shown. Overal effect was too busy for me. Seemed a nice lightweight summer sweater, but I returned it.

Black and White Delight
This sweater fits true to size. The simplicity of the print allows this sweater not to "wear the person" as so many items do these days. The sale price made it even better. Thank you.

fav topper in my wardrobe
I absolutely love GH's merino cardigans. They are the perfect layering piece any time of year in the Pacific NW climate. Have many versions in my wardrobe.

Beautiful Sweater! Runs small.
Purchased this for my elderly mother this mother's day. She loved it!!! I should have ordered her a size larger because it fit her too tightly. She was so excited to have it that I just ordered another size for her.

A breath of Spring!
I love this cardigan. It is flattering and such beautiful colors. It goes with jeans or more dressed up. I am glad the previous reviewer suggested to lean towards the larger size. It is slightly fitted, so if it was tight, it would not work for me.

Itchier than it used to be
I bought one of these sweaters a couple of years ago and love it! So I bought this one this year in a new pattern, but it is surprisingly itchy! What happened to the soft feel?

I know it says dry clean only, but have any of the rave reviewers actually tried hand washing it??
It seems like a fabric that could handle a cold water wash with Woolite.

Answer:
I have owned two of these sweaters. I wash them on the hand-wash cycle in my washing machine, and then give them an extra spin cycle. Then I lay them flat on a towel. I use have used regular detergent and Woolite with equally good results. Another reviewer said Woolite has bleach -- that's an urban myth. Original Fabric Wash does not contain bleach, oils, phosphates, or enzymes. If you're afraid of the color bleeding or becoming dull, dry-cleaning will help protect the color. But I use the delicate cycle or the hand-wash cycle all of my wool and cashmere sweaters with perfect results every time.Age: 35-44

I have been washing mine in cold water and laying flat to dry . . . so far so good.6 months ago
Answer:
Woolite contains bleach and thus is not suitable for washing this sweater. I would suggest a simple soap instead, a clear glycerine soap such as Neutrogena.Age: Over 65

Answer:
I used to dry clean them but I don't anymore. Put it on the handwash cycle in your washer (or actually hand wash) and let it dry flat after rolling it in a towel to get the water out. Then a quick iron will do the trick.1 year, 6 months ago

Answer:
I'd say it's a very dark navy, not quite black although I think it would work fine with black clothing. The (hidden) grosgrain ribbon on the button placket is a dark navy blue and I don't think the designer would have done that unless the background were blue, not black.Age: 35-44

I own 4 of these Merino wool sweaters. I wash them on a delicate cycle, put them in a dryer for about 10 minutes then iron with a steam iron (on the wrong side). They come out perfectly.Age: 55-64

Answer:
Merino wool is the softest wool available. Micron count is the indicator of how soft /fine the fibers are; unfortunately, manufacturers rarely provide this information. Look for words like " fine", "superfine" and "extra fine". These terms apply to the lowest micron count merinos, anywhere from 18 mc - 12 mc.Age: 45-54
