Signature Merino Cardigan 4.5 5 1033 1033
I wear mediums but buy the xtra large in the sweaters because they are a tight fit and I prefer them to be loose April 15, 2014
Sizes are not working for me I like this sweater but I'm going to send it back, the dual sizes are not working for me these days. I like it when the XL is an 18 not XL(16-18), it appears the 16 is more of what I get. I'm going to have to stick to only the 18, I hope GH does not stop with these sizes. I really like the color I got too. April 9, 2014
Bright Colors The colors are beautiful and this will make a nice addition to my spring wardrobe. April 8, 2014
One of Many Purchased The cardigans for sale at Garnet Hill are a great value for the money. They are so so soft and the colors are beautiful. I have purchased at least 8 of these sweaters in various patterns and know I will purchase more in the future. April 6, 2014
simply classic This is a lightweight wool cardigan that looks nice with jeans or capris. I like the fit, it hugs my curvy shape without being too tight or too loose. I think its weight will be just right for spring & fall weather, and could be layered for winter The color is an attractive, bright! April 6, 2014
I like this sweater. This was my second purchase of a Signature Merino Cardigan. I got a medium this time instead of a small and it is better for layering even though I usually wear a small. It is nice to have bright colors in a sweater when it is still cool outside. April 5, 2014

It seems like a fabric that could handle a cold water wash with Woolite.

Answer:
I have owned two of these sweaters. I wash them on the hand-wash cycle in my washing machine, and then give them an extra spin cycle. Then I lay them flat on a towel. I use have used regular detergent and Woolite with equally good results. Another reviewer said Woolite has bleach -- that's an urban myth. Original Fabric Wash does not contain bleach, oils, phosphates, or enzymes. If you're afraid of the color bleeding or becoming dull, dry-cleaning will help protect the color. But I use the delicate cycle or the hand-wash cycle all of my wool and cashmere sweaters with perfect results every time.

Answer:
Woolite contains bleach and thus is not suitable for washing this sweater. I would suggest a simple soap instead, a clear glycerine soap such as Neutrogena.

Answer:
I used to dry clean them but I don't anymore. Put it on the handwash cycle in your washer (or actually hand wash) and let it dry flat after rolling it in a towel to get the water out. Then a quick iron will do the trick.

Answer:
I'd say it's a very dark navy, not quite black although I think it would work fine with black clothing. The (hidden) grosgrain ribbon on the button placket is a dark navy blue and I don't think the designer would have done that unless the background were blue, not black.

I own 4 of these Merino wool sweaters. I wash them on a delicate cycle, put them in a dryer for about 10 minutes then iron with a steam iron (on the wrong side). They come out perfectly.

Answer:
Merino wool is the softest wool available. Micron count is the indicator of how soft /fine the fibers are; unfortunately, manufacturers rarely provide this information. Look for words like " fine", "superfine" and "extra fine". These terms apply to the lowest micron count merinos, anywhere from 18 mc - 12 mc.
