Signature Merino Cardigan is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 1453.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Better Sweater The Garnet Hill catalogue photo does not do justice to this signature merino cardigan. It surpassed my expectations - the quality, the fit, the design. The cardigan is so versatile - just the right weight for air conditioned interiors and adds new life to my wardrobe. Although I purchased the cardigan during the GH summer sale (I actually purchased two designs), I would have gladly paid full price. I will not wait for the new prints to go on sale. I want them all!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Addicted to this sweater I love this sweater. As a 60-something woman, we need to layer. This sweater is perfect and I often wear it year round. As others have said, I recommend going up one size to layer over tank or T. Highly recommend especially on sale.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Different look with black The cardigan I purchased is a blue/black/purple flowered pattern - I probably would not have tried it if it had not been on sale, but I got it to layer over black dresses, of which I have quite a few, as a way to add some interest - and it works nicely. I am also usually cold and like to have an extra layer - and this cardigan, while merino, is light enough for all seasons.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful patterns and fit I ordered the blue border print and it is every bit as exquisite as the photos indicated. As stated by other reviewers, it's wise to go up a size because these sweaters do run a bit more fitted. I'm 135 lbs., 36B and the medium was perfect. The quality is very nice, although I have yet to launder it, so the jury is still out on how it holds up. The lightweight nature of the fabric makes it a great year-round sweater. Overall I am very pleased with this cardigan. It's a bit pricey even on sale, but still a worthwhile investment.

What is the length of the Signature Merino Cardigan (10330)?

Asked by: Jayna
I don't have the exact measurement, but the sweater is very short and rides up on me.

I know it says dry clean only, but have any of the rave reviewers actually tried hand washing it??

It seems like a fabric that could handle a cold water wash with Woolite.
Asked by: blurooferika
I have owned two of these sweaters. I wash them on the hand-wash cycle in my washing machine, and then give them an extra spin cycle. Then I lay them flat on a towel. I use have used regular detergent and Woolite with equally good results. Another reviewer said Woolite has bleach -- that's an urban myth. Original Fabric Wash does not contain bleach, oils, phosphates, or enzymes. If you're afraid of the color bleeding or becoming dull, dry-cleaning will help protect the color. But I use the delicate cycle or the hand-wash cycle all of my wool and cashmere sweaters with perfect results every time.

Wool tends to be too scratchy for me, but can work; is this merino wool scratchy?

Asked by: WorkingOR
Not at all! I have probably 20 of these sweaters and love them all!

Can this cardigan be washed by hand or machine washed?

Asked by: Antonia
I own 4 of these Merino wool sweaters. I wash them on a delicate cycle, put them in a dryer for about 10 minutes then iron with a steam iron (on the wrong side). They come out perfectly.

What is the background color of the Violet Paisley merino cardigan?

Asked by: SayV
I'd say it's a very dark navy, not quite black although I think it would work fine with black clothing. The (hidden) grosgrain ribbon on the button placket is a dark navy blue and I don't think the designer would have done that unless the background were blue, not black.
