Garnet Hill Essential Down Comforter is rated 4.9 out of 5 by 155.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Superb Down Comforter I love these comforters. I've bought them in different colors over the past few years, and I've been delighted with all of them. When Garnet Hill says these are appropriate for every season, Garnet Hill is precisely on target. I use these comforters in summer and winter—and to snuggle up in when reading a book or watching television. My particular favorite is Lapis, but I'm pleased with all the colors I've purchased. Right now I'm finding it veeery hard to resist the Hydrangea Blue. I've found the colors to be lovely and not at all gaudy, and the quality of the product is excellent. These are well-made and will last for years—I bought my first one a long time ago, and it's aged beautifully. I recommend these HIGHLY.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Improved! I had the same comforter from seven years ago which I loved. However, this one is better designed because they use smaller boxes for the batting. So hopefully overtime the stuffing will stay pretty well distributed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from As pleased with second one as I was with first I bought one of these comforters 5 years ago when transitioning my daughter to a twin sized bed, and just purchased another for her younger brother's "big boy" bed. The original comforter is still on my daughter's bed showing very little wear, though it has been used year round for 5 years. When it was time to buy bedding for my son's new bed, I knew this was what I wanted again. It's cozy but also lightweight and washes great in our washing machine. I waited for a 25% off promotion and was pleased with that price.

Can the primaloft comforter be washed in my own front load washing machine at home? Or is it better to take it to a laundromat?

Asked by: krpwb
I have washed mine with great results. I recommend using a mild detergent such as Woolite. I have a 4.0 cu.ft front load washer. Also I use dryer balls or tennis balls in the dryer to keep the down fluffed up and dry it at a low heat setting.

The Dune and earth colors in the mag. are very different, but on the computer, hardly any difference, how much do they really differ?

Asked by: Toonzer
The earth color is quite a bit darker than the dune color. Earth is more brown and dune is more khaki.
