Rated 5 out of 5 by Perfect I have been looking for a white, down throw for a while and this one is perfect. Crisp cotton, fluffy down, just the right size. January 15, 2017
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great blanket This is my favorite down blanket! Wish they would make in black and white pattern! December 24, 2016

Rated 5 out of 5 by SO nice I ordered the Essential Down Blanket in Bay Leaf Green for my king size bed with a 16" high mattress. It's taken me quite awhile to find a blanket, quilt, comforter that is the right size for my bed, but this purchase has finally done it for me! My search is over. Because the mattress is so thick, regular quilts would not fit. Oversized quilts, like those from Cuddledown, while lovely - were actually TOO big. Not only does this fit nicely, the down fill is warm enough for the coldest night we will experience in a Florida winter. My husband likes a cold house with a warm blanket and this fits the bill. I love the green color - it coordinates nicely with sage and teal. I've found GH to have beautifully saturated colors in all the linens I've purchased through them. In summary, I'm 100% satisfied! Rated 5 out of 5 by Love this blanket We have been searching for years for the right solution for sleeping warmth. We have tried comforters ( down and other), wool blankets, electric blankets etc. we finally found it! Our winters are cold and my husband is a cool sleeper while I am a warm one...and this blanket is working perfect for us. We both are comfortable ( finally). It does have a tiny crinkly noise on occasion but we barely notice it. Very very Pleased! December 3, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Essential Down Blanket I ordered the down blanket for winter. Previously, I haven't found a down duvet or blanket that isn't too warm for my husband and me. This one is perfect: light feeling but warm, pretty. We're both tall and sleep in a queen bed. I ordered a king and love it because it's long enough to to pull up over our shoulders, and there's plenty of drape on the sides as well as plenty to tuck at the foot.I haven't found any others like it. Answer:
The only difference between the blanket and the comforter is the amount of fill and the size. The blanket is a little larger than the comforter and it has less fill than the comforter. All other aspects of both peices are identical.

I can't tell from the reviews if the down or primaloft blanket have a different appearance. I want to use it as a bedcovering for my twin beds.

Both of the blankets would have the same appearance however, the comforter would have the fluffy look that you may be looking for.

These blankets do not have a warmth rating, however, they are very good for year round use and personally, I find them to be very warm.
