Rated 5 out of 5 by Zzzzzzzz This comforter is a perfect weight, and I love that it's easy to wash. The cotton is heavenly and it makes a soft soothing sound when slightly moved (for ASMR fans like me:) My search for a favorite comforter is over! March 4, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Well Made Comforter is lofty, light and very warm. I'm usually a down comforter girl, but I needed a machine washable alternative (I mean once a week washing) . I'm very pleased with this substitution for down. I'm hoping it can take the machine washings it will be subjected to. We'll see! November 13, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Love it gotta have it! Sleeping underneath this super lightweight yet warm comforter at the end of a busy day is truly something to look forward to. I have been in search of exactly this! It arrived in a very neat carrying bag with handles that can be used to store other bedding in. This comforter fits perfectly in my duvet cover and I can look forward to snuggle time every night! Thank you Garnet Hill. March 19, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Wonderful comforter! I did much research before purchasing this comforter and it was definitely worth every penny! Warm enough for me, not too hot for my husband. Lightweight and fluffy. I trust Garnet Hill products and have never been disappointed. December 4, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Nice lightweight comforter I purchased this comforter for my daughter's room and it's perfect. Other comforters I considered did not have 100% cotton covers (this one does) and were bulky and/or heavy. This one is lightweight, yet provides warmth, and fits into our comforter cover just right. Think we'll enjoy it for years to come. August 26, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Warm and Cozy! I love this comforter! It is warm and squishy. Its great to sleep under and nice to lounge on top of too. It has corner ties to hold your cover in place. (A few ties along the edges of the comforter and cover too would be a great thing to have too.) There are no stray feathers to deal with and no sneezing either! March 12, 2014

I recently bought a down-alternative comforter from a different company & it is noisy/crinkly, even after washing. I am hoping to find a quiet comforter for my daughter. Would you consider this comforter quiet or noisy?

Answer:
This comforter has a 230 thread count with a down alternative fill, we do not belive that this would be considered a noisy comforter.

Answer:
Interesting question! I have also bought a down-alternative comforter elsewhere, and found the cover material accumulated, and retained, an unacceptable level of wrinkling; and I remember that I could hear it making a sort of scratchy sound when the material was moved around-- weird. We returned that comforter without ever sleeping under it.
We've been sleeping under our Garnet Hill down-alternative comforter for a month or two now. Its fabric cover is made of pretty heavy cloth, and there's some sound when we turn over or throw the covers aside to get up. The sound isn't at all 'crinkly;' it's more like the sound from a clean, heavy cotton sheet, such as you might find in a good hotel. To me, it's a very luxurious, comforting sound, part of the comfortable sounds of snuggling down into the bed clothes before going to sleep.
I hope this is helpful to you.

Answer:
They are very similar. The biggest differences are the shell which 18283 is Combed Cotton & 24408 is Cotton Cambric (they will feel a little different). The fill which 18283 is Primaloft and 24408 is Polyester, the sizes have a slight difference, and the ounces of fill which 24408 has a little more. Both comforters will be great for year round use.
